Jasper was in his hometown visiting his mother. He took the key from under the small plant on the porch. After unlocking the door, he walked inside and made himself at home. Ten minutes have passed and his mother walked through the door. She looked like a complete mess. Her usually kept hair was sticking out of her braid. Her pale skin look whiter and she had bags under her eyes like she hadn't slept in days.

"Mother what's wrong?" Jasper stuttered.

"The reason I sent you a letter wasn't just because I missed you, I have terrible news. Kayden sent me a letter saying if we don't give him Elly, he'll attack the village," she cried. Jasper went and hugged his mother.

"It'll be alright. I'll go get Gother and Hide. We'll be able to stop him before he can touch Elly. I'll figure out away, you know I always do plus Gother is pretty smart he'll come up with a plan." Jasper explained reassuring his mom. He gave his mother one last squeeze and a kiss on the forehead, before leaving the house.

Gother and Hide are usually together so it would not be that hard to find them. Jasper went to the village library that was in the middle of the town. Once he was inside he saw Gother reading a book. His messy blonde hair was slightly in his face. Jasper couldn't see his brown eyes because of the glare on his glasses. Hide was just sitting there with a blank stare. Hide had Heterochromia, or where he had two different eye colors. He had one dual grey one while the other eye was a bright blue.

"What can we do for you?" Gother questioned, while putting down the book down and fixing his glasses.

"The village needs our help again. Kayden is planning to attack the village if we don't give him Elly. So what do you say? Will you guys help me one last time?"Jasper answered.

Hide looked up his typically dual eyes lit up in angry when hearing this. Hide loved Elly with all his heart. He was like an older brother to the girl. Hide quickly stood up to leave but was pulled down by Gother.

"We're both willing to help you but how are we going to do it? Are we going to attack him and his demons or are we going to try and negotiate?" Gother wondered out loud.

"I vote we attack him before he can do anything!" Hide yelled. His usual calm demeanor was completely gone by now.

"Hide I know that your upset but we to negotiate with Kayden. We don't need to fight," Jasper stated calmly.

"I agree with Jasper. I don't think we should be rash and just go into battle, but I also think we need to come up with a plan if we need to fight," Gother added to the conversation.

"Fine then don't come crying to me when the negotiation fails!" Hide yelled.

The party spent a few hours deciding how to fight or how to negotiate. They gathered weapons and potions of all kinds. Gother had a bow and some arrows. He also was a mage that could heal small wounds if it didn't hit a vital organ. Hide had a scythe taller than him. Hide had throwing knifes in his coat. Finally Jasper got his weapons. Jasper had two sharp swords that could cut through almost all other metals.

They waited for kayden to make the first move. Suddenly, the group heard the screams of the townsfolk. The once blue sky turned to a reddish color and dark clouds cover the two suns in the sky. Horrid creatures came up from the ground. Their skin was grey and had black veins all over their bodies. The demons eyes were all black besides the pulp it was a crimson red. One of the demons was about to attack a mother protecting her son.

Jasper swiftly drew out his sword. "Watch out!" Jasper yelled as he pushed the mother out of the way and stabbed the monster.

The group decided to split up. Hide and Gother stayed to help the village while Jasper went to find Kayden and try to negotiate. Jasper ran to the end of the village where he saw a man with black hair with his back towards him. Not long after Jasper showed up the man turned around. Jasper looked into his bright red eyes. Then Jasper's eyes slowly drifted to the side of the man's face, well to his cheek, where a big ugly scar was.

"Kayden," Jasper whispered in disbelief.

Jasper drew out his sword. This sword was tremendous, a titanium blade with tungsten carbide edge and a beautiful emerald handle. Kayden also drew out a sword, It was almost the same thing but with a dark grey handle. Kayden quickly sprinted throws Jasper with an insane look in his eyes while trying to strike Jasper. Jasper blocked him by crashing the swords together. They both were applying pressure trying to push the other to the ground.

"We don't have to fight! We can talk this out!" Jasper exclaimed.

"And why would we do that?!" Kayden yelled back.

"We all deserve second chances! Please let's put the swords down and talk this out. I know all you need is a little love and the only reason you're wanting Elly is because you're lonely!" Jasper explained.

Kayden's eyes softened just a little and his grip on the sword also loosened. Jasper smiled thinking that he finally got through to him. Kayden put his sword to his side as if accepting defeat. Jasper also lowered his sword and walked to Kayden. Jasper was going to pull Kayden in for a hug but was met with a sword through his stomach. The agonizing pain brought Jasper to his knees.

" I don't need your pity," Kayden spat. Kayden pushed Jasper on to his side with one mighty kick making Jasper violently cough up blood.

"I really thought we could be friends,"Jasper muttered.

That's when Gother and Hide came into view without Kayden knowing that they were there. Gother pulled out one of his arrows and steady it on the bow. He aimed right for Kayden's heart and let go of the arrow, it went straight through him. Kayden fell to the ground with a loud thud. Hide and Gother ran to the boys. Gother went to check if Kayden was actually dead while Hide went to Jasper. Hide Put Jasper in his arms and looked into his brown eyes. Jasper usually bright eyes looked dualler like the life was being drained out.

"What did I tell you, you lovable loser?" Hide cried.

"Yeah, I know I should've killed him when I had the chance," Jasper coughed out.

"It'll be okay I'll take you to get help," Hide whispered while picking Jasper up bridal style. Gother was next to Hide by now, he also was in tears. The party started to walk back to town. The sky was a beautiful blue once again. The village came into view and the whole town was outside cheering for the heroes. The town was messed up but that was something they could deal with later. Jasper's mom pushed through the crowd to see her baby boy almost dead in his best friend's arms. Jasper's Mother lead the three boys to the hospital (Which was a little tent.) just in time. The doctor took jasper away to get to work. In the end Jasper fell into a comma and the doctor wasn't sure if he would make it. Gother and Hide visit him every chance they get. The townsfolk think of the party as the best heroes to ever live. This really was their final battle.
