I was laying in bed at home when suddenly I heard my phone beep. I picked it up and it said I had a message on facebook.
"Hey" it said, it was that kid Lucas at Johnny B. Goods.
"Hey" I replied. I wasn't that interested in talking on Facebook but I just went along with it.
"Do you know who I am cuz I know I haven't talked to you before."
"Are you friends with Nyah?" I replied.
"Yeah" he said. I didn't really know what to say after that so I just replied "yeah"
A few minutes later he texted, "you're really attractive by the way." That made me blush. I was so weird and didn't know what to say.
"Haha thanks" I said.
"What grade are you in?" He asked.
I was feeling stupid because I was only a freshman at the time. I knew he was a Junior and I thought that a 2 year difference was kind of a lot...
"I'm a Freshman" I replied
"Oh I thought Nyah said you were a sophomore but uh we should talk more often." he said. I was a little nervous, so I replied stupidly, "no, I'm a freshman, but yeah. okay."
"Haha I'm kinda foreword, I'm just like that but you should text me." he said, he gave me his number and I was wondering if I should text him... I didn't reply after that because I didn't really know what to say, a few minutes past and he sent me another message.
"Are you seeing anyone?" He asked me. I replied, "No, I just broke up with my boyfriend about a week ago"
"Oh that sucks" he said.
"Yeah"
"Would you want to hang out this weekend?" He asked. My eyes opened wide. I was so nervous for some reason, I kind of wanted to but I don't have any idea what we would do! I am so awkward and weird, I thought that he might not like me...plus, I did just break up with Troy so I needed a little time I thought.
"Idk, I might go skiing with my friend Andrew so idk" I replied, I felt so stupid! Anyways, he replied with "okay, if you don't want to you can just say no i don't care, I'm just trying to get to know you because you seem cool"
I fell asleep after that text. I woke up and completely forgot that I never replied!
"Sorry I didn't reply, I passed out"
"No problem, what are you up to?" He asked.
"Nothing much, just tired." I said.
"Haha same, so what do you think of me?" He asked. My eyes opened really wide again...shit! I don't know. I have barley talked to him and I have only seen him once!
All I said was, "idk, I don't really know you"
"True," he said, "you have seen me before though, right?"
I thought about it...no I have not actually, only 2 nights ago at Johnny's.
"Idk" I replied.
"Oh wow, then you probably think I am weird for talking to you."
"It's okay" I said.
"Well we should get to know each other" he said.
My last reply was, "okay"
The next day, I walked into school and ran up to my friend Nyah.
"Potato! Where is the guy?"
"What guy potato?" He asked, "Lucas you mean?"
"Yes, him" I whispered.
"I will show you him when I find him." he promised me.
I went to my classes and finally at the end of the day I found Nyah.
"Did you find him?" I asked.
"I saw him, but he left. You should text him though, here is his number." Nyah gave me his number and I put it in my phone. I texted him.
The next day we were going to plan to meet up and just get to know each other. School ended, and I was waiting at a table with my friends.
"Where are you?" Lucas texted me.
"In the commons." I replied. the commons was where everyone ate lunch, the school was empty though.
I saw a guy with a blue and white hat walk in the big open room. I looked up but he went into another room. I guess that wasn't him. I kept texting him and finally the guy with the blue and white hat came back in. I saw him slowly come up to me. I was nervous, I knew it was him so I pretended to play on my phone. I looked up at him.
"You're Lucas..." I said out loud. I had such a hard time talking. He was so attractive and cute! I thought to myself 'be cool Mayana! Be cool!'
"Hi...can we talk?" He asked.
