I still didn't eat anything,  Carlos has tried to get me to but I won't. He's even tried feeding it to me. By now everyone else left, and it was just me and Carlos here for almost an hour.
"Come on lily, please just eat some. Kaen isn't going to be happy if you don't eat"
I rolled my eyes at his comment, Kaen wouldn't be happy...so? He's not my dad, brother, boyfriend, he's nothing to me. I shouldn't have to listen to him. Yeah sure I'm scared of him but I'm not going to let him tell me what I can and can't do all the time.

"So? He's not in charge of me, see if I care"
At that moment, Kaen walked into the dining Hall and stared at my still full plate then walked over towards me, pulled out a chair, and sat down with the chair faced the wrong way resting his arms and chin on the back of it.

"Eat."
He had a very stent low voice, and his eyes seamed to burn right into me. It was kind of unsettling but all I did was cross my arms and roll my eyes.
"You're not in charge of me, so you don't tell me what to do. If I don't want to eat, I'm not going to"
He seamed to have this slight grin on his face once I spoke up. Then he decided to lean closer towards me
"Look, I know your scared of me. It's pretty obvious, you can't even maintain eye contact for 3 seconds. And I'm not in charge of you, I know that. But think about it, who basically saved your life? You were out there, all alone, running from someone it seamed like, for 5 days that's been reported. Another thing, look at the size difference here. You, verses me, now who would you think would win if we were to have a disagreement? Like right now. You eat that food, and then I'll think about having axel go easy on you today for training, got it?"

I didn't care. I didn't care what he said I wasn't going to eat. I gave him a quick glare then looked away. Once I did, he let out a long sigh then grabbed me by the chin moving my eyes to look at him. When I tried looking away he moved his hand to my neck.

"Look, At me. I'm only trying to help. You need to eat, and you know it. It's a miracle you've survived 5 days without food when the average person can only survive three. Just eat. Please."

My eyes widened a little and so did Carlos'
I guess Kaen has never really showed this side to him or said 'please' or anything like that. I finally let out a sigh after I realized he won't give up until I eat.

He let go of my neck, and I took a bite of the hash brown.
"Happy???"
He nodded in response and got up.
"Once your finished, you will go with Maison to choose a room. You can either have the one you were in, your pick a different one. He will show you around and then Carlos will take you shopping along side with axel, understood?"

My room? How long does he think I'm staying for?!
"What?! You can't just decide that! I'm not staying any longer I'm leaving after this and you can't stop m-"

He cut me off my grabbing my wrist, I guess I started hitting him in the chest.
"I'm sorry. You're staying. No finish your food"
He let go of my wrist and left. Carlos gave me a sympathetic look then handed me a glass of juice.

"It's going to be okay lily, look I know your scared, but you don't have to be. Yes, Kaen has killed a lot of people, but he does have his reasons, and I can tell by the way he looks and talks to you, he won't hurt you or let anyone hurt you. Trust me. Now just finish your food, okay?"

I hesitated but then finally agreed and started eating the food in-front of me. I could see carlos smile a bit at my action, then he got up and put the other crates on a cart, then shortly after a girl that seamed to be around maybe 30, dressed in a maids outfit, came and brought the cart away.

"Who was that?"
"Sophia, she's the castles maid, there's not a lot of us so Kaen just found one, she offered to do so, it's his older sister, actually. She worked as a maid for a hotel so she changed to work here isntead"
I just nodded to show I understand, as I watched her walk away.
"So I'm actually stuck here, huh?"

Carlos nodded and sighed a little then smiled
"Don't worry, you'll be fine, and we will make sure you have a better life, a safer one. You didn't have anyone important to you, right?"

I shook my head, then took in the thought. A new life....new start...I'll learn to protect myself and I'll be protected by all these guys..but can I really trust them....? I guess I'll find out..Carlos I know I can trust...he seems harmless, axel, and Maison, well, little intimidating...and Kaen........well....Carlos said he would make sure I don't get hurt..

I wonder why, why he decided to bring me, here. Out of everyone he could of chose. And for him to protect me...? Will he actually...?
