'Are you busy?' the text flashed across my screen next to a picture of my love. 'Not really, what's up baby?' I replied, brushing my hair out of my face. 'I would like you to come over, I have to take a shower first though.' He replied, sending his address. My heart soared, a big smile spread across my face. I had never been to his new place before, I was anxious. Elated. But Anxious. I quickly got dressed and went out to my car, taking deep breaths the whole ride there. I finally pulled up to a beautiful house, creeping up the stairs as I texted him I was there. "Hey baby." He said, pulling me into a tight hug. All the stress left me as I hugged him back, "Hi." I squeaked. I stepped inside and took my shoes off, admiring the area. "I tried to clean before you came, I still have to get a shower. Do you want to watch TV or something?" He asked, motioning towards the large TV on the wall, "No. I'm okay. I'm just going to watch something on my phone." I said, sitting on the plush floor. He raised an eyebrow at me, "Why are you on the floor? I have a sofa, like, right there..." I shrugged and sheepishly replied, "I like the floor..." He sighed and lifted me to my feet, placing me on the sofa. I started to slide back down to the floor when he gripped my arm gently, pushing me back on the sofa. "Stop being hardheaded and sit on the sofa. Please." He said, before walking to the direction of the bathroom. "Alexa, play tool radio." He called over his shoulder as he pushed the door too. I smiled and pulled out my phone, scrolling through Instagram... another one of my friends had gotten married. I sighed, quickly closing the app and listening to the music. Chino Moreon's voice echoed through the living room, I quietly sang along. "I watched you change... Into a fly... I looked away... You're on fire... I watched a change in you. It's like you never had wings. And you feel so alive. I have watched you change..." I heard the door creak open, glancing over to see him leaning on the door frame of the bathroom. "You have a nice voice." He said, walking over to me, stroking my cheek with his thumb. I smiled, kissing his hand. "Thank you baby." He chuckled, walking over to the kitchen. "Hungry?" He asked, I nodded as he began working. "Do you like salad?" He asked, pulling out lettuce. "Yes." "And asparagus?" "I love asparagus." I said, watching curiously as he finished chopping ingredients for salad and throwing some asparagus onto a baking sheet. He then pulled a set of steaks, and seasoned them before sliding them into the oven. "Are you thirsty?" He asked, "No, I have a drink. But thank you." He smiled and walked over to me, kissing my forehead tenderly. I blushed and giggled, pulling him down and kissing him softly. "How was work?" I asked, watching as he stepped back into the kitchen. "It was fine, I was just covered in cinnamon. That's why I needed the shower." He replied, pulling the food out and plating it. He handed you a plate before carefully sitting next to me and turning the TV onto Netflix. "Want to watch anything in particular?" I shrugged, taking a bite of salad. He scrolled through before landing on Ancient Aliens and pressing play. We sat, quietly eating. I ate most of the salad, and all of the steak and asparagus. "Thank you for dinner my love, it was delicious. And an amazing surprise." I said, setting my plate down on the end table and leaning my head on his shoulder. He kissed my cheek, wrapping his arm around me and pulling me into his chest. His fingers idly danced across my shoulders and back, the soothing sounds of his slow breathing and heart beat quickly lulled me to sleep.

I woke up to the feeling of his lips kissing my forehead and cheeks multiple times, rubbing his face into my hair. "Hey beautiful, time to wake up." He cooed softly. I grumbled, nuzzling my face into his chest. He chuckled and ran his fingers through my hair, "C'mon. Let's at least move this to my room. This isn't very comfortable after a while." He said, slowly peeling me off his chest. I huffed, slowly moving to my feet and shuffling to his room. I stretched and yawned, pulling my top and pants off before crawling up the bed and under the covers. The bed dipped behind me, his strong arm wrapped around my middle as the other went beneath the pillow. He placed small kisses on my shoulder blade before pulling the thick blanket around us. "Goodnight darling." He whispered, both of us quickly falling peacefully asleep.
