prince.
that was one way to describe choi soobin.
recently transferring from the states, soobin was six-foot, had brown soft locks, and angelic looking eyes with soft lips. his tall, yet soft figure made him a target for girls in his senior to fawn over him walking in the halls. you could hear girls squealing from how cute he looked.
then there was choi yeonjun. yes, they do have the same surname.
yeonjun was merely the complete opposite of soobin, where he would rather sit in the library courtyard with his friends eating his homemade lunch that his grandmother made for him every morning.
today soobin had his first day back since being in the states one year ago. he was excited to see his old friends, yet not so pleased about being back at school.
now it was eight-fifteen am and soobin was walking down the halls in his uniform. it was different verses being in regular clothes like at a public school in the us but nonetheless soobin carried on walking down. he heard girls giggling, looking at him, pictures being taken of him.
soobin? he was just listening to music with his airpods in, while finding his class.
"soobin!" a younger boy shouted from his left side. soobin turned to see huening kai, one of his bestfriends since grade school. despite the three year age gap the two were closed than ever.soobin's face lit up to see the younger with a huge smile. soobin quickly gave the maknae a hug.
"you're back for good huh?" kai raised a brow. "i suppose you could say that." soobin laughs, scratching the back of his neck. "well i'm glad! it was lonely without you..." kai pouted.
kai grabbed soobin's hand and took him to his group of friends. you see, soobin didn't really know anything about kai's friends since he was gone for one year. apart from the fact there were constant instagram posts about them soobin really had no clue.
"guys!" kai called out making four other boys turn. well, except for yeonjun. he was scrolling on his phone eating his crackers.
it was almost ironic at the fact that yeonjun was looking at a post that soobin had posted. yeonjun had been following soobin for awhile since he was a model. but soobin didn't know that. yeonjun never posted pictures of himself, nor did he even get into photos. and if he did it would be extremely rare.
"hey kai!" a coconut haired boy said looking at soobin. "wow, you're really tall..." beomgyu said looking up and down at soobin. "guys, this is soobin! my friend from the states." kai introduced. "hi, i'm choi soobin. i'm guessing you guys are kai's friends?" soobin inquired. "yes we are! i'm beomgyu, that's taehyun, and that's yeonjun!" beomgyu smiles pointing at each person.
"yah! yeonjun stop being rude and say hi to kai's friend." taehyun shook yeonjun and yeonjun looked up.
it would be an understatement to say that yeonjun was shitting himself. choi soobin, was standing right in front of him. this was awkward. "hi there." soobin smiled kindly waving his hand. yeonjun looked like a lost puppy, waving his hand. "he's just shy don't worry." taehyun laughed.
"i get it." soobin said still with a smile on his face. "what classroom do you have soobin?" beomgyu asks. "i have classroom n-9." soobin says showing his schedule on his phone. "how funny! yeonjun has the same class. he can show you around then." taehyun laughs looking at yeonjun.
"w-who said i would do that?" yeonjun stammers looking at his friends. "come on junnie." kai rolls his eyes. the bell suddenly rung and they all waved their goodbyes.
"well yeonjun," soobin suddenly spoke out making yeonjun turn. "let's go to class?" soobin smiled and yeonjun nodded before showing soobin the way. it didn't take long until one flight of stairs that led them to the classroom. students in their groups until the door opened and all of them turned and stared at the two.
girls began gossiping, and yeonjun had a frown plastered on his face. "go sit down." yeonjun whispered quietly. soobin looked at yeonjun worried and confused but yeonjun insisted that he should sit down. "can you believe he's friends with him?" soobin heard a girl whisper.
"embarrassing, plus he probably doesn't like him back anyways." another girl added. their words made soobin pity yeonjun. he turned to see yeonjun with his glasses on, earbuds in and his hood up. he was reading his book while taking a sip of his water every now and then.
"hey you!" a girl suddenly retorted towards soobin. soobin turned and the girl had a fake, yet sweet smile. "are you choi soobin?" the girl said with annoying tone. soobin nodded and the girl giggled with her friends. "can i have your number?" she said handing her phone.
soobin felt bad for the girl, but at the same time he didn't. "sorry, i don't give my number to strangers." soobin said with a calm tone. "then let's get to know each other! eat lunch with me and my friends!" the girl said trying to get another chance. soobin shook his head no and the girl got upset.
"why can't we talk or hangout? are you stuck up or something?" the girl whined crossing her arms. soobin sighed looking up and looked at her dead in the eye. "for one, i don't know you, two your voice is annoying and three, i said no." soobin finally said making all of her friends gasp.
"fine!" the girl spat turning around to continue gossiping with her friends. soobin rolled his eyes, and then began getting his books out to begin class.
the teacher then walked in at the right moment, setting his bag down on the table. "good morning class!" the teacher smiled.
"good morning mr. lee!" the class said in unison. "we have a new student today, please stand up for the class." the teacher added and soobin stood up."good morning, my name is choi soobin. i'm coming from states and came back to finish my studies here and to be with my friends." soobin then smiled looking at all of the students. "i hope we get along this year, and please take care of me!" soobin finally said making all the students giggle and snicker.
"alright that's enough class. thank you soobin you can sit down now." the teacher chuckled and the class settled down to get ready for the lesson for the day.
yeonjun sat in the back, scrolling on his phone not even paying attention to what the teacher had to say. "choi yeonjun!" the teacher then called his name making the elder look up. "can you answer this question?" the teacher raised his brow. "the answer is c." yeonjun said nonchalantly.
"very good yeonjun." the teacher smiled before going back to his lesson.
