Smile

A tear may be a beautiful thing,
But it doesn't belong in your eye.

A thin ray of light is shining,
So wipe out that somber face.

Rainy thoughts are wandering,
The blow up by the wind of a song.

Loneliness in deep haunting,
Chased by a hand in front of you.

You don't need to hide your sorrows,
Or I'll make jokes until you laugh.
Don't lock you up in yourself,
Or you won't see me hold you.

Take a breath and reveal yourself.

Those are the words I'd tell you,
Only to see you happily smile.
