CHAPTER 4

I stared blankly at my plate as I slowly chewed the food inside my mouth. Just like a typical scene in a cafeteria, some students were eating their meals quietly while the others were laughing and chatting loudly.

After knowing what kind of people they were, I couldn’t look at them straight. They’re terrifying.

I feel embarrassed about my attitude towards him. The moment he stepped onto the stage, his presence was different, almost as if his name foretold it. Little did I know, he’s the President of the entire campus. I’m still new here, after all!

I sighed as I twirled the pasta on the fork.

The food is not bad, but not so tasty. Well, what would I expect? But looking at the bright side, they are here because they want to change and to be tamed. They want to live a new normal life, like a normal student.

I swallowed the pasta before letting go of the fork. Gosh, I finished two plates of carbonara! I didn’t eat for four days, pakiramdam ko tuloy ay nasa last supper ako. I almost cried when I took my first bite.

When I felt satisfied, I reached for my pineapple juice and took a sip.

After eating my first meal, I searched for my next class.

“Madison!” A familiar voice shouted my name.

Gabriel Anderson and Tristan Malary.

I met them when we were 6 years old. Magkaibigan na sila noon pa man ni Tristan bago nila ako naging kaibigan. Tristan was a very protective type of person. He would always listen to me and correct me if I say or did something wrong. He would always put me first in everything, he is the most gentleman I know.

Gabriel is the opposite of Tristan. He wouldn’t stop teasing and annoying me until I was about to cry. He was the type of person who’s not showy, but I knew that he cared for me. He could be the sweetest or the naughtiest. He’s taller and bulkier than Tristan. We both have a white skin while Tristan has tanned skin.

They were my childhood best friends.

“It’s been three years. They exchanged glances.
