I sigh, running my fingers through my hair. I doubt that pink streak will come out in a shower. My thoughts are interrupted by more banging. My mind is made up. I kick my door open with more force than I intended and I send it flying across the hallway.

***On Mount Olympus***

“ARES!!” I boom through the halls of my home.

“Not doing that.” Ares raises and eyebrow.

“How then…” I sigh, running my fingers through my black hair.

“She does it on her own. I must say, I am proud.” Ares grins.

“Just… leave me alone.” I turn around. I know what I must do.

****

I dash over to the door.

Oops.

I have it secured back on its hinges when a student comes out of their room next to mine. He gives an audible gasp. He’s staring at me.

“Stop looking at me.” I mutter uncomfortably. To my surprise, he looks away, only to look back a second later, confused. I run through the halls, covering everything but my eyes with my sweater so no one stares me. I get outside, and I stop covering my face. Then I notice what was making the banging. A very tall, half man half bull is hitting my window, only to get shocked by a jolt of electricity.

“Hey you!” I yell confidently, hiding my fear, taking my knife out of my pocket.

He looks at me with red eyes, and my bravado is gone. My fear must be expressed on my face because he smiles, showing his teeth. As he charges at me, time slows down. My feet move of their own accord, propelling me into the air, and twisting me, right as the bull passes underneath me, and I land on its back and time speeds up again. I find myself hanging onto its horns for dear life as it tries to throw me off. It roars in frustration. It whines in pain as I pull on its horn to stay on. Suddenly I don’t want to kill this bull.
