"Hey Katy." Bonnie says a bit nervous.
Katy looks Bonnie up and down; she seems to be a wreck.
"Are...are you okay?" Katy asks a bit worried.
Bonnie looks down at her feet and tucks her hands nervously into the sleeves of her sweater.
"Do you have time to talk?" Bonnie asks as she looks up and looks Katy directly in the eye.
Katy itches the back of her head with her free hand has she tries to balance Maria on her hip.
"Um, uh." Katy stutters as she glances at Maria.
Bonnie notices Katy look at Maria; she sighs heavily.
"I am sorry this was stupid for me to come here." Bonnie says aloud.
"No, no just give me a sec." Katy says.
Katy then turns her full attention to Maria.
"Hey baby, I have to go talk to my friend for a couple minutes." Katy explains.
"But we have to watch the clouds!" Maria exclaims.
"I know, I will be back in 15 minutes." Katy says.
"I promise." she adds.
"15 minutes!" Maria whines.
"That is forever!" Maria adds.
"Hey, its either 15 minutes or we don't watch the clouds at all." Katy tells her.
"Okay, 15 minutes!" Maria says as she quickly changes her mind.
"Here." Katy says as she slips off her wrist watch.
"I will be back when the little hand is on the 4 ." Katy explains as she points to the watch to show Maria.
Maria looks at the watch and then sadly at Bonnie.
She squints at her trying to understand why Bonnie was there.
"You will only leave for 15 minutes?" Maria asks Katy as she stares at Bonnie.
Bonnie tries to smile back at her; Maria stares at her with no emotion on her face.
"Yes, baby." Katy reassures Maria.
Katy then lets Maria down on her feet.
"Go wait for me in the backyard, I will see you in-" Katy says but then gets cut off.
"15 minutes!" Maria giggles as she finishes Katy's sentence.
Katy smiles at her and then kisses her on the forehead.
"Go wait in the back, silly girl." Katy laughs.
Maria runs down the hallway.
"Whoa honey!" Mary says as she walks up from the door that leads to the basement; she had a basket of laundry in her hands.
"Where are rushing too?" Mary asks Maria.
"Mommy is leaving she will be back in 15 minutes, I have to go to the backyard." Maria explains herself.
"Leaving?" Mary questions.
"Why do you have to go to the backyard?" she asks.
Katy could hear her mother speaking to Maria.
"Mom!" Katy shouts for Mary.
"Yes?" Mary says as she walks to where Katy's voice was coming from.
Mary notices Bonnie at the front door but doesn't say anything.
"I am going for a quick walk, I told Maria to stay in the backyard until I got back." Katy explains as she gestures to Bonnie with a faint smile.
