I reached Firangi Paani and met Reshab. He was talking to me but I was zoned out and I was just thinking about that girl. He snapped at me and I was back to the present time. He was asking me what happened but I could not tell him anything as I myself could not understand what it was. I thought first let me figure out what it is and then I will tell him everything. I said Reshab that I am just tired so let me have one drink and will leave right now. I told him to call a cab for me, which he did and I said bye and left the place.
I got inside the cab and gave him my home address. The whole ride I was just thinking about her that I did not realized I reached my place. I reached my building and I got inside the elevator and pressed my floor number 32. My mom and dad live opposite to my apartment. It was late so I guess they would sleeping. I entered the house and went to my bedroom. I took my pjs from the cupboard and went inside the bathroom to take shower.
I felt relaxed after taking shower and I went to living room so that I can just check all the documents copy as they needs to be faxed first thing on Monday and also we have some interviews for internship program. As soon as I open the bag, my eyes landed on the shawl. A small curve formed on my lips and I felt my heart thumping again. I rolled the shawl on my hand and I do not know when I fell asleep.
I was woke up by the sound of doorbell. I opened the door and my mom (Mrs Sudha Malhotra) was looking at me with eyes wide open. I was confused as to why she was looking at me like this and the way she was staring at my hand my eyes landed on my hand and I realized what the hell the shawl was still rolled on my hand. I removed it hastily and threw it on the sofa and I though now I have to answer 100 questions huh!
Mom: Whose shawl is this? Who is she? Is she inside? Tell me first I want to know every detail.
Me: Mom it is nothing like that. Nobody is there. I found this shawl in the lift so chill. Let me freshen up and I will come to your place and have breakfast.
Mom: Ohh.. I thought finally my prayers are answered. Anyways but why the shawl is rolled in your hand. Something is fishy but I know you will not tell me. Let me call Sanaya and she will give you time of your life hahahha...
Me: Enough Mom I do not want Sanaya here and its weekend so I hope you are also not ready to see our fight. I will tell you everything when the right times comes.
Mom: Okay fine. Get ready and come home for breakfast and haan one more thing please be free in the evening as we have to attend a Mehendi/sangeet function and the marriage is on Sunday.
After saying that she left. I sighed she very well knows I do not like to attend these kind of functions because all the aunties will be surrounded around me asking when I will get married and whether this girl is nice or that. Argggh. I hate it.
I picked the shawl and hanged it inside the cupboard as nobody touches my cupboard. I pointed at the shawl and said I am going to catch your owner soon very soon till then you are my treasure.
I took shower and wore a causal t shirt and tracks and headed towards my parent's house. It was our house rule no matter weekdays wherever we are but on weekend we as a family should share our weekend breakfast together.
My Dad asked "Saahil are you coming for the function? I said "Do you think that Mrs Malhotra will leave me alone if don't come and we both burst out laughing and my mom was giving us death glare and we changed the topic.
It was 4 p.m. when me, mom and dad was ready and we were waiting for our princess Sanaya and as usual she is late. I was shouting her name and finally she arrived. She was very stubborn but she was my cute little sister. I loved her but I never showed her how much I cared, because I love teasing her.
