"Come here"

I make my way over to him, and started kissing his neck. He pushed me onto the bed and started taking off my clothes...

I shot right up and turned my head to see the time. The red lights glowed 4:27am. It was just a dream. Thank god.
It's a few days after the arrest, and Derek was still on my mind. I still don't understand though. How someone I don't even know, someone that I spent not even 10 minutes with, a criminal, could be on my mind this much. It was ridiculous. I lay back down and rolled over on my side, resting my head in my hands, I slowly close my eyes and drifted off into a deep sleep.

~

I woke again at 11:30 to the sound of birds singing outside my window. It was my day off today, so I got to sleep in and catch up on all my sleep. I got up, showered and went down to the kitchen to have some coffee and breakfast, even though it was almost mid-day. I boiled the water and was about to pour the hot water into my mug when I heard my door bell ring. Thinking it was Katherine, as she always comes over on Thursday around this time, I shouted for her to come right in. I finished making my coffee and turned around expecting Katherine to be standing behind me, but she wasn't there. No one was. I frowned and looked around.

"Mmm, strange, she's normally here by now" I said out loud to myself. "Maybe she didn't hear me."

I put my coffee down and walked over to the front door and opened it, but again, no one. I stuck my head out the door, looking for any kids hiding behind bushes playing knock and run. But nothing. I thought I might as well check the letter box while I was outside. I took a step forward and felt something sharp poke underneath my foot. A sharp pain quickly shot up my leg.

"Owwww!" I screeched while holding my foot and jumping up and down, closing my eyes tight shut. I opened my eyes and notice I stepped in a rose.

'What the--' I thought

I stopped jumping and stood normally, bending down and picking up the beautiful red rose that was left on my door step. And beneath it - a letter. I held the rose in one hand and the letter in the other, not having a single idea where these could of came from, or who it came from. I went back to the kitchen and placed the rose and letter on the bench and went to get a glass and fill it with water to put the rose in and place it on my table. When I found a glass and came back, Katherine was sitting in my kitchen reading the letter. I'm not surprised.

"Hey Kath, um, did you send that?" I asked while filling the glass with water.

"Hey beautiful, and what, this rose and letter? Nope, and this letter doesn't say who wrote it, it just has two letters. It looks like you have an admirer!" She said handing me the note with a smile plastered across her face like she knows something.

I opened the letter and looked down at the bottom of the paper to read the two letters signed at the bottom. My eyes widened, 'D.E'. I straight away knew who it was from. My eyes moved to the top of the letter and I began to read the letter.

Dear Cecilia,
I think you are amazing at what you do, you know, your job. Maybe we could meet up soon? Actually, how about tonight, at the pub, around 10? My treat. I want to get to know you, and I could tell from Monday you want to get to know me too. I just want to see your gorgeous face again.
Love always,
D.E

I put the letter back down on the bench and looked at Katherine.

"Yeah, I have no idea-"

"Stop lying! You know it's Derek! And his right, by the way you were looking at him on monday, you so wanted to get in his pants. I think you should go!"

"Are you kidding?!" I said, handing her a coffee, "Kath I think your forgetting his a criminal!"

"His rich, his damn hot, he likes you and you've been single for way too long. I think, regardless of what his done, you should let your hair down and have some fun."

She does have a point. I haven't dated for around 2 years. But I don't know what type of criminal Derek is; he could kill me if anything.
It's like Katherine knew what I was thinking about somehow and added,

"It's not like he is going to kill you."

"Mmm I don't know. Anyways my cousin Christine is coming down soon, like tonight soon. I can't just leave her!"

~

Hours pass while Katherine and I were catching up. Even though we see each other all the time at work, there isn't a time or place we can actually talk about things outside of work. We laughed harder than ever and went shopping. When we got back to my house, I checked the time. 5:25pm.

"Christine is going to be here at 5:30! That's in five minutes! I'm so excited. You better not tell her about Derek." I said.

"Oh, I would never" Katherine replied with a cheeky smirk.

Few minuets had past and there was a knock at the door. I ran up to the door and swung it open. My eyes widened as I saw my cousin standing at my front door. We both smiled and next thing I knew I was in her arms.
I haven't seem Christine in years, she lives too far away, but she comes down sometimes to see the family. She's 25, short but a good height, light skinned with blond hair - even though she dyes it all the time to out-there colours like blue, so who knows what colour she actually is, with chocolate brown eyes she's fit, strong and stunning. And beside her was her boyfriend Justin. He's 27, tall, buff, and slightly dark skinned, he played football so he was well known.
I invited Christine in while Justin got the suit cases out of the car and brought them inside to the spare bed room. Christine and Katherine hugged and started chatting while I made more coffee. And just as I suspected, Katherine told Christine everything that has happened with Derek.
Well, at least they both don't know about my dream..

"Ohmygod! Cecilia! Go for him!" Christine said while grabbing my arms.

"Christine you know more about criminals than I do. You're on the S.W.A.T team for god sakes. It's a bad idea."

"You know what, you're right. I do know more about criminals than you do, and he seems like a hot ass harmless bad boy." She said looking at the rose sitting on my table, "and what girl doesn't like a bad boy?"

"Cecilia just do it!" Katherine joined in.

"I don't know what were talking about, but you should go for it" said Justin walking in the room and heading over to a seat.

There was a pause, 3 against 1, I gave in.

"Fine!"

I didn't just give in from the peer pressure, but because deep down inside, I knew I wanted to see him.
The two girls cheered and grabbed my arm, pulling me up stairs to my room to help pick out and outfit and help get me ready, even though there was still five hours till 10. But I suppose I needed a shower, wash my hair, pick a dress, pick heels, accessories, make up, hair, and god knows what else.
So, lets begin.
