Amber POV

"Either wake up or I'm coming up there to get you up Amber Nyiese!"
As much as I want to stay in bed and finish with what feels like hibernation, I find the will power to get up because I need to . I grab my speaker on the way to the bathroom to wash away my tiredness. Like usual, as I shower my mind drift off with the music and plays more like background music in my thoughts. The way the shower door fogs up it reminds me of those mornings as a kid when the ground was still wet and the birds would sing their beautiful tune faithfully around that time every morning. I remember picking flowers for mom and taking them to her. Back then it seemed like days where longer and memories lasted forever.
After taking a shower and getting ready, I go downstairs for breakfast.
"You know, you wouldn't be so tired in the morning if you go to sleep on time at night."while I'm turned from her I mocked her silently mouthing every word she said. " Oh my what do have on? Your going to school not a party go cover up and change now!"
"Mom I'm in the college not high school they don't care about dress code."
"Well too bad college isn't your mother now go cover up or change."
After I change and eat I leave the house surprisingly on time. I stop by my favorite coffee place in town to grab a iced coffee. As I'm driving off from the drive though to head out a black Dodge Challenger attempt to swift by me and fails. My coffee and everything in the back seat went flying and everything in the front seat shakes viciously.
As I get out a middle aged man jumps out his vehicle and yells at me
" Excuse do you not know how to drive ?!"
" I should be asking the asshole in front of the that!"
"Asshole?"
" Yes ASSHOLE!"
He gets closer to me yanks off this sunglasses and stares me cold in the eyes.
"It's obvious you have no clue who you're messing with but baby you'll be finding out very soon who's daddy."
" Get away from me you sick bastard!" I pushed him away from me and walk back to my car.
" Oh no missy that's not how this works, Come to my office in town tomorrow morning 8 sharp and not a second late or early." He tossed a business card in my window and got in his car and left as if nothing happened.
When I looked down at the card I instantly regret even coming to get coffee.
