Confusion

Hello. I have recently been put in an awkward situation where I've agreed to hang out with a bunch of shirtless man-thots.

I mean, I didn't agree to that specifically. Let me just start at the beginning.

Ok, so I have (had?) this friend, and we are (were?) really close. Anyway, he invited me to a little party at a pool for his birthday. He had to invite some of the kids because his mom and their parents are friends. We were still friends when this happened, so, of course, I agreed to go.

Then, one day, he didn't want to hang out with me. I didn't really think anything of it, he's allowed to want to do other things than hang out with me all the time. So I left him alone.

Then, gradually, he stopped talking to me.

Then, he was avoiding eye contact.

Then, he starts avoiding me at almost all costs.

I didn't know if I did anything wrong. I still don't.

So, I text him about it.

That was from last Thursday obviously.
Then, on Friday I text him again. (Btw, I don't like stranger things and he does and I sent him a bunch of excerpts from articles that were basically trash talking it. He doesn't get bothered by that stuff.)

Still didn't reply

The Weirdos is a group chat that we're both in.
Still no reply. Then I get this: (I have an unhealthy obsession with Riverdale)

I got confused but I was just happy that he wasn't mad. Then this happened:

Then I just gave up so I said thanks.

Anyway, I ordered him a present (even though he ignored my txt about his gift). But now, on Saturday, I have to go to a pool party with a bunch of people I'm not friends with, and someone who doesn't like me.

Of course I can't cancel or else if he actually isn't mad, he'll get mad at me and my mom and his mom will get in our business. And I need to find out what the hell is happening.
