I sat atop a mossy rock next to the Ennon River out past the royal woods. A field of flowers stretched for miles in front of me. The giggling of my older children filled the air forcing a smile to my face. I sheltered them as they made small flower crowns from the various wildflowers that grew around us. They rush over to Tyran as he approached with a half-asleep Amber-Rose, carrying two small flower crowns, one for each of them.
"Papa, papa. We made you and Amber one too!", they shouted in unison, causing the prince to laugh at his children.
"Wow, they're wonderful," He told the two as he placed the small crown ontop his pale green hair," how did you know yellow flowers were my favourite?"
They giggle with joy that he had loved it before pulling him over to the place we had set up for our picnic. "Mama told us," Opal said taking the newly two-year-old Amber from his arms. "And we made Mama a purple flower crown, cause she said it reminds her of your eyes," Jasper laughed before giving Amber her flower crown of orange flowers.
"Is that what she said?" Tyran laughed at the two, before running them off to continue playing. "They seem to be enjoying the trip today." He turned to sit down next to me.
"Yeah, it's the peace I had hoped for all half-dragons," I explain, watching them run around without a care in the world.
"Things will finally be at peace; you stopped Milear. Everyone else in Drogan, as well as us can finally be at peace, and you can finally live your life. You no longer have to always be on edge." He took my hand in his, holding it tight.
The calming, peaceful view in front of me began to change. My vision began to grow static, my hearing began to go out. Only distorted images and noises made it through.
"FATHER!" "MY KING!" "Tyran?"
Everything had seemed to move extremely quick. Tyran dropped to the ground at my feet after instantly jumping in front of a deadly spell that was initially meant for me. "No," I whispered gently as I merely fell to my knees. All I could manage was to fearfully watch as everything unfolded in front of me.
The imperial guards, including my son Jasper, surrounded the intruder. "Jasper, please come back", I instantly tried to say. No words came from my useless mouth, as I undoubtedly recognize the determined face of my dying husband's brutal murderer. Milear. No, that can't be, he was meant to be dead.
Blinded by rage, Jasper rushed at him. Blood instantly flew from his new wound. "JASPER!" Amber and Opal shouted at the same time, Amber running to her older brothers aid. Before anyone could effectively manage anything, Milear had gone in a puff of smoke. As the impenetrable smoke cleared, Amber had disappeared along with him.
