Ali's POV

I was lying on my bed watching YouTube when I got a text from Jason.

It's happening. I squinted my eyes at the text before texting back.

What are you talking about J? As soon as I hit the send button someone knocked on my door.

"Ali I have to talk to you. Let me in." My dad said from the other side. I got up from my bed and opened the door. He walked into my room and sat down in one of the chairs by the window and sighed before looking up at me. "I don't know how to tell you this but..."0 My heart sank in my stomach as I sat down in the chair next to the one he was sitting in.

"We're...leaving Rosewood, aren't we?" He looked at me in shock.

"Who told you?" That confirmed it.

"A month ago, Jason overheard you talking on the phone about a case in California."

"I have to be careful to make sure the door is closed next time." He muttered out.

"Did you take the case or not dad?" I said as I started getting irritated.

"Yes. If my estimate is right I can be done with it in a year."

"A year?! Oh my God." I said as tears welled up in my eyes.

"Alison..." He started as he kneeled on the side of me. "I know that you don't want to leave Rosewood..."

"This has nothing to do with leaving Rosewood...it's about leaving Emily." I cried out. He held his head down a few seconds before speaking again.

"I know sweetie. Ever since you two got together, she's been like a second daughter to me..."

"How am I gonna tell her that we won't be able to see each other in an entire year?"

"I don't know." He said before he left out of my room, closing the door behind him. My heart was beating so fast. I picked up my phone and texted Emily.

Meet me at our spot. I hit 'send' before I put my shoes on and grabbed my car keys and walked out of my room, down the stairs.

______________

When I saw her turn around and looked at me, I ran up to her and wrapped my arms around her waist. Tears filled my eyes as she wrapped her arms around me hugging me tightly.

"It's okay Als." She whispered and she kissed the top of my head.

It's not. I thought as I listened to her heart beating. A few minutes passed before she pulled away. She used her thumbs to wipe my tears away. She then leaned down and kissed me. How am I going to leave her? I thought as I looked into her eyes when we pulled apart from each other.

"Is everything okay?" She asked.

"Yeah..." I lied. "I... I just missed you." I said before hugging her again.

"I missed you too baby." She said as she rubbed her hands down my back. "I know what would cheer you up..." She said as we pulled apart from each other.

"What?" I asked as I smiled.

"How about we go get some of your favorite snacks and we go back to my place and watch any romantic movies you want to." I couldn't help but laugh a little.

"You know me so well." She kissed my forehead and took my hand in hers as we walked back to our cars. I called her on the phone when we started driving.

"Yeah?" She answered.

"Follow me home. I'm going to take my car back and ride with you."

"Okay baby." I made a right turn, driving in the direction of my house. Ten minutes passed before I was pulling up in my driveway. I turned the key, turning the car off. I then put my keys in my purse and got out of the car and walked to Emily's. She leaned over and opened the door for me.
