I sat, reading a book, and enjoying my moment of silence. Loki said he would watch over the kids, which is really hard, you know. There is sixteen of them. Sadly, quiet doesn't last very long in this house.
"Mom!!" I heard a little voice yell. Fenrir ran running into the room.
"Yes, Fen?" I replied, without looking up from my book.
"I-I'm blue!" he exclaimed. "It just happened now!"
"Where's you're father?"
"I dunno," Fen answered, and I sighed, looking up from my novel.
"Why is being blue a problem?" I asked him.
"None of the other kids at school are blue,"
"I have a secret," I said quietly. "But, our entire family is blue. But only sometimes. "
"Even Uncle Thor?" Fen asked.
"No, not your uncle," I told him, just barely before he could finish saying 'Thor'.
"You said our entire family."
"I meant in this house."
"Why?"
"Becau-" I was interrupted by a yelp. It came from downstairs.
"Stay put," I told Fen, pointing a finger at him. He nodded and I rushed downstairs.
When I got downstairs I found Loki. He was on the floor, with seven small children on top of him. An eighth one was coming with a bucket of markers.
Loki was struggling to get up. "Get off of me you mew-"
"Everyone off of your father!" I shouted. The kids listened and discovered a new activity.
