Chapter 14 To Kill A Thousand

The enemy nin smirk,

"this is the end kunoichi."

Eyesight was blury, knees are wobbly, panting heavily, the kunoichi bend on one knee. "This is not good." The enemy ninja laugh. "In the land of earth you will die bitch!" Aya snarl. "Shut up bastard! In your dreams asshole!"

The kunoichi use her strength by breaking the end of the katana that was pierce in her abdomen, in one swift motion the kunoichi was able to elbow the enemy nin in the face and twist her body. The enemy nin found himself lying on his back, nose bleeding and he was straddle by the kunoichi, before he can react the woman struck the edge of the katana in his left chest causing him to die instantly.

The other half of the katana was still in her body, "I need to let this out! My body is getting numb. The blade are poison." trying her best to focus her chakra in her wound, another iwa shinobi attack her and kick her in the gut causing the kunoichi to flew straight to the river.

Minato sense the chakra of his teammate wavering." Where is she?!" he scanned the area and his eyes widen in what he saw. The kunoichi was kick in the gut by the enemy ninja and she was sent flying to the river.

"Sakura!"

Minato shouted and he cannot control anymore his emotions. This is what he is afraid of, seeing the most important person in front of him getting hurt by this bastards.

They will pay.

And they will all die.

In a flash all Iwa shinobi standing in the field fall to the ground. A quick lightning run through the area leaving the dead bodies. Minato was blinded by range. No one. No one will hurt his Sakura.

One enemy ninja saw it all, "He is a monster.." he is walking backward slowly and drop his kunai, "I need to escape from here. I cannot fight that man.." the enemy ninja run at top speed to escape from the devil, his run abruptly slow down and felt three shuriken struck on his thigh, a kunai pointed on his throat.

"Where do you think you're going?"

He killed all enemy ninjas he could find, the blonde swept the forest clean. Thousands of Iwa Shinobi was slaughtered by the legendary Minato Namikaze.

Aya cannot swim, she cant even move her body due to the poison spreading through her system. She needs to do something. She cant die. She needs to go back home. But how? Maybe that bastard of a captain was right.

This is the End.

As the kunoichi close her eyes and slightly smile acccepting her fate. She suddenly felt that her body was being pulled up. "Who?" and everything fades to black.

Seating in front of the elder, Hiruzen pinch the bridge of his nose, he is too tired to deal with the old geezers right now. He is thinking about Minato and Sakura. Its already three days since they leave for the mission. He is really curious right now on what happen with them. Turning back his attention to the elders in front of him, Hiruzen knitted his brow. Why the hell this fools wont shut up and let him decide since he is the Hokage. Hiruzen just let out a heavy sigh and listen to the elders. Then he heard a knock in the door interrupting the blubbering of the elders. "Come in." Hiruzen said. Inoichi enters the room, "I apologize to interrupt you Hokagesama. But this is very important." Hiruzen stand up and excuse himself. Hiruzen and Inoichi leave the room. Once inside his office the Hokage turn to Inoichi. "What is it Inoichi?" the man nodded and said. "Hokagesama, Minato and Aya just arrive today. The ANBU kunoichi is wounded and Minato go straight to the hospital. It looks like he use his Hiraishin technique due to the condition of the ANBU, it looks like she was poison. She was already taking care of in the ICU."

Hiruzen close his eyes and instruct Inoichi, "Send me an update about the condition of the kunoichi as much as possible. I need to know her status. And how about the mission?" Inoichi look at the Hokage. "I already sent my team Hokagesama, we'll give you an update once they arrive in the land of earth" Hiruzen didnt answer and look at his feet." dismissed. I'll wait for the report from your team." Inoichi bow and leave the room.

"I have a bad feeling about this.."

"Sakura-chan!"

"Naruto?"

"Give him a chance Sakurachan."

"What? Naruto! Please I cant do that!"

"I'ts fine Sakurachan. Just follow your heart."

"Wait! Naruto!"

Sakura open her eyes and stare at the white ceiling. "Where am I?! The mission?! Minato!?" the pinkette get up from the bed, she look down and found herself wearing a hospital gown with IV drip in her hands. "I'm in the hospital?" but who? " the door open softly, Minato entering the room. The blonde look at Sakura eyes widens. "How are you feeling?" the kunoichi just look at the blonde and answer "How do I get here?" seating in the chair beside the bed, Minato gently hold her hands. "I'm the one who brought you here. Your wounds are poison so I need to bring you here immediately." The kunoichi pulled away her hand to Minato and folded it in her lap. "Thank you Minatosan." Sakura looks at Minato and ask, "How about the mission?" Minato smile softly to the woman and said "We accomplished the mission. Dont worry."

Minato gently cupped her cheek with both of his hands. "I dont know what I'm going to do.. If I lose you." she was taken aback by his action. "Please.. I told you to stay behind me. Right? When I saw you got hurt, I lose my mind... Please.. Im so afraid.. Please be more careful next time.." deep blue orbs meet emerald green, tears running down his cheeks. She felt guilty.. Why? Why is this man crying? He press his forehead into her, "You want me to stay away.. I stay away.. But after what happen, I dont think I can stay away anymore. " she was shocked and pull away slightly to Minato, "What did you say?" His right hand at the back of her neck, "I know who you are.. Aya... Or should I say.. Sakura.."

"You knew?" 

He gently peck the lips of Sakura. "Yes." She hold the hands of Minato cupping her cheek "Im sorry, I didnt mean to scare you like that." she is sobbing and cant stop the tears rolling down her face. "Its okay now. You're safe." Sakura pounce into Minato and wrap her arm around his neck. "Im sorry.. Im sorry.. Im sorry.." he was surprised by her action. Minato smile and hug Sakura back, tightening his hold "You're safe with me, My Saku..." she let the blonde hug her tighter, to feel his warmth, his love.. "Lets go home.." he whispered to her ear.

"ok.."

Minato carry her bridal style and they disappear.
