Memories come down when it rains, spreading pain.
Watching you as you get soaked
Clear in that moment,
wet with memories
I think of you when you were beautiful in the rain.

More memories and images flashed through my mind, spreading an immense pain throughout my heart.

A knock at the door stopped my pacing, he was here. I took a deep breath and fixed my clothes before grabbing my bag and opening the door.

"(Y/N)-ah!" He smiled and pulled me into a tight embrace, I giggled as his nose rubbed against my neck. "Hmm, I missed you."

He pulled back and kissed my cheek. Standing back, he looked at me, openly checking me out. I blushed under his intense gaze.

"You look amazing."

My cheeks darkened even more. "T-Thanks, Oppa."

"Let's go, I've got a huge surprise for you!" He said as he grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers.

My face lit up as we reached our destination, the park. There under our favourite tree was a picnic blanket laid out with a basket.

"Do you like it?" He asked.

I nodded.

"Yes, it's beautiful." I smiled. "Thank you!"

He kissed my cheek and pulled me over to the blanket.

"I got all your favourite treats." He said, as he opened the picnic basket pulling out the food.

After we were done eating, we laid down and watched the endless blue sky. There were quite a lot of clouds.

"It's a great view, isn't it?" Jeonghan turned to me, leaning on his side.

"Yeah." I agreed with him.

"You know since we're in a park." He started, "Do you want to-"

"Yes!" I replied before he finished speaking. I ran to the swings, sitting down and pushing forward as I waited for Jeonghan to finish packing up.

"Someone's very eager." He laughed as he came over.

"Just push me already, Oppa!"

He laughed once again but got behind me, pushing the swing. I giggled and kept telling him to push faster. After a while he stopped pushing me, and made his way over to the slide. I laughed as he climbed the stairs, sat down and started sliding down.

He pouted. "I wish they would build a bigger slide."

I helped him up after his short ride. After we were done there, I walked hand in hand with Jeonghan after our park date. The sky by this time had turned grey as a storm was brewing within the clouds.

"I love you, (Y/N). Never forget that!" He told me as he smiled down at me and lifted our interwined hands to his lips as he laid a soft kiss upon my hand.

"More than the rain, Oppa?" I teased.

He chuckled slightly. "More than anything in this world, Jagiya."

I stopped and let go of his hand. "Can you feel that?" I asked, having felt a few raindrops fall on me.

"Yes!" He exclaimed excitedly.

"May I have this dance?" He asked me, holding out his hand.

I laughed. "Of course."

He grabbed my hand and pulled me in close as the two of us started slow dancing in the rain. I closed my eyes, as I laid my head against his chest. He started singing, 'My First And Last'.

"Naega eodi isseodo kkumsogeseodo... Oh, naegen neoppuniya... nameun insaengeul geolgo malhalge... du beoneun eopseo neon naye majimak."

A loud rumble in the distance broke our little moment. Pulling back, I looked up at the sky.

I sighed. "We should go, before the thunder comes."

"Aw... Let's go." He grabbed my hand, and we started running through the streets, trying to get home safely.

It was yet another day spent with him, that ended with being soaked from the rain, but it was the best.

I smiled faintly at the memory. That had to be one of my most favourite memories. But it was soon after that, that my life changed completely. Just thinking about it, made the tense pain in my heart ache even worse.

Lately, things have been changing between the two of us. Checking my phone for the fifth time, I sighed as there were no new messages from Jeonghan.

Getting up, I grabbed my coat and put my shoes on. I walked towards Pledis' Entertainment. I wondered why he's been ignoring me for the past week. Was it something I did? I tried to figure out the reason, but I always came up with nothing that I could have done to cause this. There was this worry I had that he didn't love me anymore, but I refused to believe that. I mean it couldn't be right? I loved him and he loved me.

I spotted him outside the building with his friends. Jeonghan couldn't see me as his back was turned towards me. I approached their group, once they saw me, their eyes widened and they immediately quieted down. Jeonghan turned around, his smile dropping when he saw me but it was quickly replaced.

"(Y/N)... What are you doing here?" He asked me.

"I came to see you, Oppa!" I smiled, despite the feeling of dread in the pit of my stomach. He tensed as I hugged him and his group snickered. He pulled back and glared at them.

"Good luck!" The one whose name I think was Mingyu said, patting him on the back as they all left.

Now I was confused, so I asked him. "What is he talking about?"

He sighed and said, "I need to tell you something that I should have told you a long time ago."

"What is it?" I asked softly. The knots in my stomach grew even bigger and tighter as I anticipated his reply.

He sighed once again and rubbed the side of his face. "I'm sorry, but there's no easy way to do or say this but..." He paused, his face pained.

"Are you breaking up with me?" My voice cracked as I fought back the tears that threatened to fall.

He nodded. "I'm sorry..."

The tears fell slowly as I felt my heart break in pieces. "Why? I thought you loved me."

"I do, but right now I don't need any distractions."

"Oh, is that what I am to you now? A distraction?" I cried out as the tears flowed non-stop.

"Look, don't make things worse by throwing a fit." He snapped. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to snap at you. I don't want things to change between us, but I won't string you along anymore. I'm sorry." He said as he looked into my eyes.

I sniffed and tried wiping the tears away but they still came. He tried to reach out to wipe my tears, but I flinched away from his touch, stumbling back against a car.

"Please don't..." I told him, his face fell at my words, but he nodded and moved back.

I turned around and ran away from there, away from him. Ignoring his calls to come back, but he didn't run after me. Ironically, it started raining. I stopped when I was at least three blocks away from him. Collapsing onto the ground, I cried my heart out. The pain was too much. People stared weirdly at me as they passed by, an old lady even stopped to ask if I was okay, but I ignored her. Getting up, I walked slowly home. Looking up, I laughed bitterly. Of all days to break up, it had to be a rainy day. How utterly ironic.

Ever since that day, all the rain reminded me of was him and I hated yet loved it.
