Packing Day #4

I don't remember anything that happened from my dream, but it must have been bad for me to wake up crying. Tomorrow is my last day here in Brazil. I'm not gonna lie, I'm gonna miss this place but that's probably because most of my family lives here and I don't want to leave them here. My mom and I spent the whole day walking around town and eating our favorite meals because who knows when we are coming back. As we kept walking through some of my favorite shops we came across my favorite restaurant Amir. "Hey mom can we stop and eat here?" I asked, "Come on, Jake you know how much I dislike going to Amir. But, since it's our last day here, I guess I can make an exception." Mom responded in the most annoyed tone she could make. We walk into Amir and we take our seats.

" so since it's our last day, maybe we should've just stayed home" my mom said.

"Mom we can't just leave without doing our favorite stuff first" I said with the slightest thought of raising my voice. "I know I know I just hate going outside knowing that we might never return to this place." My mom says in an oddly depressing tone.

After we finish eating and get home we finish packing the stuff we are taking on the plane. Trying my hardest not to cry that night I hear y mom yelling ok the phone again for the 5th time this week. I try not to think about it.

Later that night........

I woke up to my mom's phone going off. With my mom being a heavy sleeper she doesn't hear it.... but I do. I walk into my moms room and take her phone to see who keeps calling her. "It says unknown caller" I thought to myself. I took her phone into my room in hopes that this person would call again. And my hopes were right, the unknown caller called again. So I decided to answer......

"Who's this?" I asked in suspicion.

"Damn it Gina you know who this is. Stop being stupid " unknown caller said angrily.

" this is Gina's daughter. Who the hell are you?" I said about to lose patience.

We say nothing for a good 2 minutes until unknown caller responds with.......

"Daughter??? I..... I ...Is that you?" Unknown caller said nervously but desperately waiting for a response.

"D......d.....ad?????"
