I had a dream. Dreaming was dangerous since Sarams couldn't do it. But I wasn't a Saram. I was a monster. Something that shouldn't have been born. Why I had to live because of my father's sin? He was the one who has sinned, so why I was suffering?
I got up in the morning, trying so hard to forget about my dream. Sometimes I felt like a mistake. My father's mistake. He should have killed me when I was still a kid.
I mostly spent time alone, not wanting warriors from Daekan troops to see me. I had a reason to do it. Fighting with Neanthals was dangerous and risky, especially for me. Scratches were something usual there among Daekans. But I was the only one without any scars. My blood was purple. If anyone saw it, I would had to kill him like I did with all my childhood friends. That was why I preferred to be alone.
I heard a sudden sound of chains so I turned around immediately, seeing one of the warriors I knew really well.
"You shouldn't go alone. Neanthals are like tigers. They can kill you easily" Yangcha said, coming closer. I sighed. Neanthals didn't kill Igutus. Only Sarams did it. I felt save, even being alone.
"I'm not afraid" I said.
"Me neither" he smiled gently, grabbing his chain. He was a really good warrior, but still had to learn more to be the best. "We can go together" he added suddenly.
I didn't want to. He said that only because I was Sanung's son and he wanted my father to promote him as fast as it was possible.
"I don't think it's a good idea" I said, making a small step. I realised too late that there was a trap. I didn't notice it before, because the grass was really tall. It was something like a bear trap. My leg got stuck between sharp blades.
"Tagon!" Yangcha knelt down immediately, wanting to help me. I shook my head
"Fuck off! Don't come any closer, just don't look!" I said, trying to push him away. It was too late. Yangcha's eyes opened widely, seeing my purple blood. I looked around, wanting to find a big rock to crush his skull. I had to kill him, but... It was like killing my own brother.
"You are..." he whispered, clenching his fists. Yangcha bit his bottom lip, taking a deep breath. "You are wounded! I need to treat the wound" he said.
"What?"
He ripped his own shirt, wrapping the cloth around my leg, to cover my blood. His hands were trembling. I was trembling as well. He clenched it tightly.
"Yangcha" I said, barely moving my lips. He grabbed my arm, helping me stand up. I felt a sudden pain in my leg so I had to lean against him.
"I didn't see anything" he whispered. Someone's heart was racing fast, but I wasn't sure if it was mine or Yangcha's. Maybe our both hearts were beating crazy like that?
I didn't want to kill him, moreover, I was so happy that he reacted in that way. Our eyes met and I realised that no matter what I wouldn't kill him anyway.
"Let me explain" I sighed loudly, but he shook his head.
"You didn't notice the trap, but everything is alright. I didn't even see anything... I really didn't" he mumbled.
"You didn't..."
"Yes, I didn't" Yangcha smiled, holding me in his arms. That was ridiculous, but I smirked as well. I was really frightened but fear disappeared suddenly as if nothing special happened. As if it was only just a dream. Maybe I was dreaming all the time? Being that close to Yangcha looked like a real dream. But his heart was a proof that he was there for real.
I grabbed uncertainly the chain, touching by accident the soft skin on his neck. We both trembled, blushing uncontrollably. I wanted to make a step back, but the pain in my leg didn't allow me to do it. I stumbled with silent moan, feeling how Yangcha's arms catched me again, even more tightly than before.
"Can we... Have a little secret?" I asked silently. He nodded without hesitation.

Yangcha had to carry me piggyback, because I didn't want to strain my leg. I wrapped my arms around his neck, letting him grab my thighs. I hoped that I wasn't too heavy for him.
"I'm sorry" I whispered. Yangcha smiled, peeking at me.
"Next time you will carry me" he said. I was talking about something different, but I was glad he didn't understand me. I wanted to apologize him. I shouldn't have told him my secret. He knew about it since he saw my blood, but that was a burden. I wanted him to forget, but it was already too late. I hated myself and I was afraid that he also would hate me, knowing the truth.
Yangcha stopped suddenly, clenching his hands on my thighs. I raised my head, freezing immediately.
"Tagon?"
"Father, let me explain!" I said with racing heart in my chest. He looked at my leg and the piece of ripped Yangcha's shirt which was wrapped around my wound. He drew his sword immediately, coming closer. "No! Spare him, I beg you, father!" I got off Yangcha's back, limping. I didn't care about the pain anymore. I covered Yangcha by my body. "Punish him, but don't kill him! I beg you, father. Don't kill Yangcha. He will not tell anybody I swear!" I said, bowing. I knelt down, clenching my fists.
"Then we will rip off his tongue, cuting his mouth and sewing his lips" he said. I shook my head, not wanting him to do such a cruel thing.
"I will accept my punishment, Niruha" Yangcha said, kneeling down next to me. He bowed.
"No!" I protested. Yangcha didn't know what he was talking about. "I won't let you get punished like this" I whispered, finding his hand and holding it tightly. That was all my fault. Only mine. I should have been punished instead of him. I grabbed my father's cloak, raising my head.
"Tagon, I will do it. I will accept my punishment" Yangcha assured. I didn't even want to hear that.
"Please, father. Find a milder punishment. He is going to be the best Daekan warrior" I said. My father looked at him. I wasn't able to read his emotions as if he didn't have any.
"Mubaek is the best Daekan warrior" he said. I knew it, but Yangcha was still young. He learnt fast and I believed that one day he will be the greatest warrior of Daekan troops. "You want a mild punishment?" he asked finally. I nodded, waiting patiently for his words.
"Spare his life..."
"Silence will be your punishment" he said. I frowned, not understanding him at all. "From now on you are unable to speak. If you say something, I will rip off your tongue personally." That was such a relief. I took a deep breath, calming down. Yangcha was safe.
