First kiss

Kyle

I was really impressed by her determination to make me want her.
Her eyes said it all. They never blinked, they were piercing mine.
Somehow I felt she can do it because her gaze was making me feel weak.
I noticed how beautiful her dark eyes are.
She's quite interesting.

No matter how pretty she is or interesting she is, I will never love her because she's my jinx and I hate her.

Memories of me and Gabby kept flipping from page to page. If it were a drama, it would be a tragedy.
How she told me she doesn't want to be with me anymore. I begged her to think it over but she had decided.
She left me because she was forced to.
I still remember her words like she said them few seconds ago.
"Kyle, please let me go. I love you. You know that but we're not meant to be together. You'll find the right person."

What got me to believe that Iris' curse was working was that I suddenly became sort of invisible when I'm around girls.
I wasn't the Kyle girls were so crazy about anymore.

That was when it dawned on me.
I only agreed to marry her because she has to suffer. We will both not experience love. Even if she does, she belongs to me now.

Whoever is calling me is too persistent.
I know it's surely my mom.
I answer the call still half asleep.
"Son, did you do it with her?"
The tone of her voice almost gets me deaf.
"Mom, please."
"She's your wife. Where is she?
Let me speak with her."
"Mom, she's in the bathroom."
"So? Are you trying to tell me you are shy of her?"
"Mom, she needs her privacy."
"I've already told you till you treat her well, you're getting no money from me!"
She hangs up on me.

My mom has changed. She's really funny these days.
I don't think she's aware of how much she's changed.
She used to be very distant before.

Iris
I was enjoying my peaceful dream.
But it began to rain.
I didn't get anywhere to go.
I was completely drenched in the rain.
I later realized it wasn't raining and I wasn't dreaming.
It was Kyle pouring water on me.

"Kyle!"
I throw the TV remote at him.
"Don't forget you have to go to school."
"Why did you have to spill water on me?"
"Hurry up or I'll leave you behind."
I scoff and walk away.

Oh my. New set of clothes are in my bag. They look very expensive. It's time to look sharp.
I find a make up kit in my bag. It's my first time in San Francisco.

The elevator door almost shut but I was fast enough to get in.
I landed in the arms of a tall guy.
Oh my gosh. He's so good looking.
I move away from him.
"I'm sorry." I apologize.
"Please you don't have to apologize." He looks like he's suppressing laughter.
"What's funny?" I ask.
"Did you look in the mirror?"
He finally laughs.
I shake my head. "I was in a hurry."
He moves closer. He uses his handkerchief to wipe my face. "You shouldn't apply make up on your beautiful face if you don't know how to."
I nod. I can't look away from his blue eyes.

"What's your name?" He asks. He's still so close to me. Is he trying to seduce me?
"I.. Iris Luna."
"I'm Phill Black."
The door opens and my eyes meets the angry looking eyes of Kyle. I push Phill and take long strides towards Kyle.
"I'm sorry for being late. I'm really really so..."
It happened like a flash of light. His lips were on mine. I was taken by surprise by the kiss.
Why would he kiss me? I tried to push him but he was not willing to free me. He finally broke the kiss and turned to look at Phill.
"I see you made a friend."
"Hi. I'm Phill." Phill extends his hand to Kyle but Kyle ignores him. "I'm Kyle and I am Iris' husband."

"Well Iris, I'll be going. I hope to see you soon."
He says and I watch him go.
"Don't even think of falling in love with anyone because you are mine." He looks at my fingers. "Also, don't forget to put on your ring."
"I'll only put it on when you put yours on!"
I'm really mad. "Why did you kiss me?"
"I don't like you. I don't want you to be happy because you've ruined my own happiness!" He yells at me.
"It's your fault we're like this!"
"Goodbye." He walks away.

Did that jerk just leave me behind? I don't need him. I can go on my own.
I have to find a way to revoke the curse so that I can be free. He's so unbearable.

Phill

The Latina I met today is so interesting and pretty. She had ruined her pretty face with the make up. Once I cleaned it off, she was enchanting to watch.
Her beautiful smile can't leave my head. I love the way her dimples shows whenever she smile.
I can't believe she's married.
I look at them from afar then I realized they don't even love each other.
She run into my arms and I am not letting her go. The guy leaves her behind. This is the perfect opportunity to get to know her better.
I loved her at first sight.
I'll make her mine.
