The cold breeze blowing her blond hair as she walks towards the bench in the park. She sat on the bench waiting for Julian to meet her there.
He had called her and asked her to meet him in the park. He sounded... nervous? What could he be nervous about? Where is he? Chloe thought. She puts both her hand in her jacket pocket and sat quitely while waiting for him.
Suddenly, she felt a hand on her shoulder, she grabbed the hand, got up and flipped the person behind her. She looked down to see Julian, grunting in pain.
"Julian, are you okay?" She asked, helping him up.
"Yeah, I think so"
"Don't scare me like that" Chloe said, slapping his right arm
"Sorry" He said with a smile. They sat on the bench.
"So, what did you want to talk about?"
He rubbed the back of his neck. " Chloe... I-uh I've been having these feelings for awhile now and- you're my best friend, Chloe and as much as I want these feelings to go away, I really don't.. I've tried everything to get over you. Going out with another girl but you're the only person I could think of everytime I'm with someone else. I-" He looked at her. "Chloe, I love you."
She sat there in silence, taking in everything he had just said. He loved her. He really loved her. That's all she's ever wanted, was for him to love her back.
"I guess you don't feel the same," He looked down "it's okay, we can still be fr-" He was cut off with a kiss from Chloe. She felt his soft lips on hers. He was surprised at first but then he kissed back. Their lips moving in sync. She moved her left arm to the back of his neck and her right arm on his shoulder, deepening the kiss. He slowly slid his hand into her jacket and placed both his hands on her waist, feeling the warmth of her body.
They pulled away.
"I love you too" Chloe said, smiling.
