Chapter 7: Homecoming

Friday

Stella nervously looked at herself in the mirror after Ruth did her makeup and did a small twirl around in her dress, she still felt uncomfortable.
"Oh relax honey, you look gorgeous and Kyle will think so too ." She replied with a sweet smile.
"Stella Dear, your date is downstairs I'll give him "the talk" he said with a grin.
"Dad! Stop!" She groaned out as she headed downstairs and answered the door, once she saw Kyle in a tux the butterflies returned and she blushed. "Wow, Stella you look beautiful." He says as he held out his hand and she blushed and took his hand. "Woah now, you kids can't leave without pictures." Roy says with a smile as he pulled out his camera from his pocket, "smile." He says.
Kyle and Stella smiled, both blushing with embarrassment as Roy snapped their pictures.
Ruth came down the stairs in a gold dress, she was blushing all over, Kyle saw a red convertible outside and he looked at Stella, "I thought she said she wasn't going to go with him!"
Stella looked at Ruth and back at Kyle, "she said she wasn't going to last night!!!"
Ruth got in the car "hey babe." He whispered as he pulled her into his lap smirking, "he won big time."
Ruth pulled out her phone and took a picture with Scott. "You wanna know something? You have the most soft skin ever" he says as he kissed her neck.
Ruth moans as he continued to kiss her neck until he pushed her off and kept his eyes on the road.
"So I heard my sister is dating Tommy Milner, ohh isn't he blind as a bat for leaving you precious doll?" He sneered as he continued to their school.
"My sister is a slut anyway, she's just an ugly slut she doesn't mean anything to Tommy, or any guy she gets with." He replies with a shrug.
They pulled in the lot and he parked across from the Catalina, Tommy was with Pamela and they were heading inside until he saw Ruth with Scott Wolverton. "Ruth?"
"Hey Milner, enjoying your night with my slutty sister?"
Tommy gritted his teeth angrily, fists clenched.
"Stay away from Ruth!" He hissed.
Scott held her hand smirking, "well she's actually my date to homecoming so...I'll catch you later Tom." He said with the biggest smirk on his face.
"Ruth! Get over her right now!" He yelled!
"I thought I was too Clingy." She says as she held Scott's hand and that really pissed him off, "Ruth! Get over here right now or so fucking help me!" He threatened out with a glare. Ruth ignored Tommy's shouts as they headed inside the building.
Tommy was angry at Scott, he took what was his, he took his Ruth.
Pamela rolls her eyes at Tommy, "oh relax tommy"'she says as she held his wrist and headed inside the gymnasium for the homecoming dance.
Chuck and Auggie both arrived in their tux's and they happily held hands, waiting at a table in the back for Stella & Kyle to arrive.
Stella nervously held Kyle's hand as they walked in the gymnasium and nobody stared at Stella nobody laughed, nobody even knew it was Stella with Kyle Davidson. "Stella! Kyle!" Chuck shouts and waved them over to their table. "Thanks" Stella says sweetly. Kyle looked around the gymnasium and his eyes laid on Tommy and he was sitting in his chair with Pamela, he was so angry, he was glaring at Scott. "Oh shit, this isn't going to end well at all." He said as he sighed. "What? What's wrong?" Stella replied as she held Kyle's hand.
Stella soon saw Tommy he was staring at Scott and Ruth sitting at their table together
Scott kisses Ruth and that made Tommy extremely angry, then soon anger turned to something else, something they've never seen before Tommy was getting upset, really upset.
"Tommy? Earth to Tommy! Are we gonna bang or what!" She hissed. "Make him stop, please?"
He asked as a tear slid down his cheek.
"Woah, are you really upset that Ruth is perfect for my brother?" She asked as she watched Scott and Ruth. "Aw come on Tommy, I think they're perfect for each other don't you think?" She whispered.
"Just make them stop Pamela, now." He said as a few more tears slid down his cheeks. "Aw you are jealous." She mocked as she sat on his lap.
Pamela looked at her brother again and winks at him and he smirked maliciously at his sister.
He continued to kiss Ruth and tommy was so angry he rose from his chair, wiping away his tears as he got over towards Scott's table and he grabbed him and punched him square in the jaw.
"Tommy-!" Ruth shrieked as she saw him Punch Scott. Scott pulled himself up and wipes his bloody lip and he tackled tommy and he started punching him in the face. "Ruth's mine Milner, she's my property now, she's all mine and mine only." He hissed and tommy kicked Scott off him. "No!" He yelled as he kicked him in the stomach, tackling him with such force they toppled over a table.
Alfred saw the other side of the table sat Scott's group of Baseball Jocks, Alfred cracked his knuckles and he tackled Jake Kelly, socking him in the face.
Kyle got up once Jake grabbed Alfred in a choke hold. "Oh no you fucking don't!" He yelled as he pulled off his jacket and gave Stella a quick kiss and he jumped on top of Jake, knocking the wind outta him. Stella looked nervously as kyle was punched in the jaw. "Kyle!" She shrieked.
Chuck and Auggie ran over and they joined in the brawl. Tommy was punched in the stomach and he coughed up blood and spat out a broken tooth.
"Ruth is my bitch!" Scott mocked
"Don't fucking touch her!!!" Tommy yelled as he shoved Scott off him and grabbed a dish and threw it at Scott. "Boys!" Scott snarls with a snap of his fingers. Three boys hoisted up tommy and Scott glides over towards him as tommy struggled.
"Get off me!" He growled out!
The first swing hit tommy in the stomach knocking the wind outta him, he let out a strangled cry of pain as he spat out a mouthful of blood.
"Ruthie is my bitch, she's mine Milner, all mine."
He snarled as he punched tommy in the stomach again making him groan in pain.
Kyle tackled Scott as Tommy shoved the others that held him in place. "Kyle!!" Stella cries as one of the boys tried to drag her away from the gymnasium.
"Kyle!!" She cries out again.
"Stella!!!!!" He yelled out!
Ruth kicked the boy in the balls, Stella sighed with relief as Ruth helped her back in the gymnasium so they can help the boys as much as they can.
It was the biggest brawl Mill Valley's ever had The Football Team against The Baseball Team.
"Stop! Break it up boys!!!! Boys!!!!!" Mr. Troy yelled as he grabbed Jake Kelly, pulling him Off Alfred. Chuck sucker punched Scott and Auggie kicked Devin Johnson as he tried to Strangle Tommy. Tommy shoved auggie away, "he's mine Hilderbrandt!" He growled as he tackled Devin and started punching and kicking him as hard as he could. Scott pulled himself up shakily wiping his bloodied lip and catapulting Himself on Tommy and he punched tommy in the face, kicking him.
"Ruth is mine! She's all mine." He yelled as he wrapped his hands around Tommy's throat
"She loves me Milner, she's gonna scream my name tonight!" He muttered as he hissed in Tommy's ear. "She doesn't love you Tommy, she loves me she's always loved me, you know after your little hangouts she goes to my house and sleeps with me, she's my little piece of ass, not yours Milner I told you years ago, I always win, I win, Me!"
"She doesn't love you." He choked out, tears threatening to spill down his cheeks.
"Oh she does he whispered in Tommy's ear, "she screams my name Tommy, she screams Scott Wolverton, fuck me daddy." He mocked.
"No." He choked out, tears prickling down his cheeks, "no!" He choked out again. "No."
"Boys!!" The principal yelled!
He grabbed them by their collars, tugging them up to their feet. "What is the meaning of this!"
He shrieked out as he kept a firm grip on both boys. "Who started this?!" He yelled.
"He did!" Tommy says as he points at Scott
"That's bullshit Principle Franklin! Tommy started it! He punched me and so did his goons!!"
"Franklin, Calvin and Davidson both were involved in the brawl along with the entire football team and the baseball team, I don't know what we should do, we can't suspend the entire football team." The Coach says with a sigh.
The principal looked at both boys who were both angry with one another, "you boys need to break it up! It's senior year god damnit! You boys are both Eighteen years old, going to the war after graduation is that right Milner?" He snarled at tommy who had a bloodied lip and a black eye. "Yes sir."
Tears still prickled Down his cheeks, as Scott stalked away from him with his gang of boys.
Kyle and Alfred walked over towards Tommy, "you suspended?" They asked.
Tommy shook his head as he sniffled, "no."
Stella and The others walked over towards tommy with Kyle & Alfred. Ruth saw Tommy and she's never seen him like this before, nobody's ever seen him like this, not even Kyle and Alfred.
"You like Scott Wolverton?" He asked with a pained look on his face, tears prickling down his cheeks. Ruth let out a small chuckle.
"Of course not! I just wanted to see if you'd get jealous if I went to homecoming with him." She says as she grabbed her cloth and wipes Tommy's eyes.
"B-but he said you screamed his name and you two fucked." He said with more tears.
"Aw hey, don't get all clingy on me milner." She said as she pulled him into a tight hug.
Kyle looked at Stella happily, her hair was messed up but still partly straight. "You look like shit." He said with a smile.
"You don't look to good yourself." Stella says with a giggle. Kyle smirks as he picks her up and twirls her around, she squeals with laughter as he began to tickle her making her laugh loudly. "Stop!!!!"
Chuck and Auggie walked over towards Ruth and Tommy, Tommy has fully calmed down now he was now kissing Ruth. "Welp, now the two horn dogs are back." Chuck said with a snicker until Auggie pulled him into a kiss. "You wanna hop on the chuckie train." He said seductively as he pulled his boyfriend into a deep passionate kiss.
Dylan Keys pulled Alfred into a kiss. "well Homecoming was something this year wasn't it?" He said as he laid his head on Alfred's chest.
"Oh yeah, homecoming was definitely better then last years, and the years before that."
"Hey! Wait, we need one slow dance to end the night." Kyle said as he pulled Stella close to him.
"I-I-I can't dance." She whispered nervously
Kyle wraps his arms around her thin, skinny waist "I'll make it work." He whispers as they slowly started to dance together, Stella loved being close to Kyle she saw Tommy and Ruth slow dancing too.
Tommy was mostly leaning on Ruth, too happy to be in her arms again, he continued to apologize but Ruth pulled him into a deep passionate kiss that lasted for a long time, they didn't catch their breaths until the song was over.
"Hey Stella, I know why I love you." He whispered.
Stella's eyes widened with happiness "okay, why? I'm curious." She says as he twirls her around.
"You are my Happiness Stella Nicholls, I never thought someone like me would even find happiness, and happiness comes in different ways and different people Stella, you are my happiness and happiness always starts somewhere Stella, and here it starts." He says as he picks her up and twirls her around before enveloping her in a kiss.
"Awwwwwwwwwww!!!" I ship them!!!" Mr. Troy shouts as he claps his hands with joy.
Chuck and Auggie clap their hands cheering for Stella And Kyle. "Get married you horn dogs!"
Alfred looked over his shoulder and saw Kyle with Stella, both beaming with happiness and laughter as he twirled her around.
"Well I'll be damned Tom, maybe Nicholls isn't that bad after all." He says with a smile watching his best friend smile for the first time after a long time. It's been awhile since Kyle's been Happy, Kyle hasn't been this happy, and now Alfred knew that Stella Nicholls, The Sophomore that everyone knew to tease was Kyle Davidson's Happiness.

After That Night, Kyle Davidson & Stella Nicholls were Officially Dating.
It only took one text for Stella Nicholls to realize that Kyle Davidson was her happiness that started somewhere and took her out of the dark place she once was In.
