There was a prolonged moment of silence between Bri and Nick before either one of them started speaking to one another again. As she sat on her side of the bed she watches Nick silently as he hung up his coat in the closet. He exhales slowly, scratching his head nervously before opening his mouth to speak.

"Can I sit here?" He gestured next to her on the bed.

Bri nods hesitantly. "Yea, sure I mean we are going to be sharing this bed for the next few days why not start now?"

Nick nods before sitting down next to her on the bed. He rubs his hands together, and blows out a breath of air before turning to the side to look at the woman he used to call his best friend.

"Can we not make this weird between us? I mean we'll be around each other a lot this next week and I know we haven't really been friends but—" Nick says in an attempt to make things right again.

"So you just want me to pretend like everything's all fine and dandy between us Nicholas when it isn't. You haven't spoken to me in almost two years. I wasn't the one that tore this friendship apart, you were the one who did." She pointed out.

"I know and look Bri I'm sorry—" he attempts to apologize to her.

"I bet you are now," she scoffs, continuing. "Was it worth it? Was she worth loosing your best friend over? When I fucking needed you the most you ABANDONED me." She says angrily pointing at him.

"I shouldn't have picked sides I know, I shouldn't have. But I was put in the middle of two crossroads and at the end of the day, I made the wrong decision and I regret it every day and there are times when I wanted to call you and just make everything better but I know our relationship isn't going to heal overnight." Nick says looking at her sympathetically.

"It's been a rough few years without you." Her voice softens. "You've missed so much it feels like we're strangers whenever we're together when I know Damn well we're not." Bri explains.

"Its weird i know, but I just want my best friend back." Nick declares. "You mean everything to me, you're the yin to my yang and honestly these past two years have been chaotic without you. I know change won't happen overnight but I'm willing to start fresh on a clean slate and pick up where we left off. I don't want to go into the new year without my Breezy." He says calling her by his nickname that he gave her with a smile on his face, causing her to bashfully hide hers.

Bri looks up at the ceiling then back down at her hands as she nervously fidgeted in her seat at the edge of the bed. She breathes out slowly, wiping the corner of her eyes. "I don't want to fight anymore either, I really don't but like I said earlier we can be cordial enough to last though out the week. It's going to be weird Nick you've missed so much..." She reminds him.

"Then fill me in." He interjected. "Tell me what I've missed and how I can make our relationship better. We've got seven days to get our relationship back on track let's just start there. We'll hang out like when we were kids and just build." He suggests. "But I can't be the only one who wants our friendship to work. This has to have an initiative from both parties." Nick states, grabbing ahold of her hand.

"I want my best friend back." Nick says looking into her eyes.

Bri nods slowly and moves a strand of hair out of her face to look at him in his eyes. She faintly smiles when she comes to a conclusion that she didn't want to fight anymore, she really did missed him.

"Okay, let's build." She says with a soft smile.

A smile creeps on Nick's face the moment that he heard those words come from her mouth. It was just a small affirmation that he needed to work on repairing their severed bond.
