The counter person came to my cage and I jumped out. You might wonder, why don't I just speak to Homo sapiens and interact with them so I don't get bored. I don't why, but I only talk to people I'm familiar with, like Jack. The large lady that just came in came to me and put a collar around my neck. I remember once Jack told me that he had to put a collar around my neck because I was too hyper (I still don't know what that means to this day). She opened the door and I quickly ran out. Ahhhhh. The smell of fresh air after 6 hours of confinement.
It was good to be out. It wasn't too sunny, it wasn't too crowded and it was the perfect timing for a nice walk. I remembered Jack always told me to not go too fast on walks because he couldn't keep up with my speed. So, I walked the slow pace that I always use on walks. I felt a powerful tug on my neck. I looked back. Are you serious? I couldn't imagine someone slower than 5 inches per second, but that woman moved at a pace of 4 inches per second. I wanted to show her that I wanted to go faster, so I went forward and tugged at the rope. Then, she said:
"Whoa! Slow, beagle. Slow."I stopped dead in my tracks. I realized why people called me that. I HAD TWO NAMES! One was Robert, and ONE WAS BEAGLE! No wonder I sometimes heard the word Beagle! Although it was weird for a dog, it was normal for a human. Like once, I heard someone call Jack, Jack sparrow. So I was Robert Beagle! I started jumping up and down in excitement. The lady that was taking me on the walk got really confused, and I could see that on her face that she was a bit horrified, probably because of my odd behavior. She started tugging on me and quickly walked back to the dog kennel really fast. She was walking at about 15 inches per second! That was pretty fast.
When we got back to the dog kennel, the large lady told the counter person:
"HE'S TOO HYPER! SO WEIRD BEHAVE! I TAKE PIT BULL DOG!"
The counter person looked surprise and took me back into my cage. She walked to the pit bull's cage and opened the cage door. Suddenly, the pit bull pounced out and knocked down the counter person, and in a flash everything was chaos. The large lady screamed and I saw her ran out of the room at about 20 inches per second. I quickly turned my head to see the counter person holding her bleeding abdomen. I started barking at the pit bull. He had just crashed through the glass door of the dog kennel and ran away. The dog kennel was a horrifying sight. There was blood splattered around the floor and I could see the counter person drifting away from consciousness. I barked at the counter person begging her to wake up. But all she did was look at me with a faint smile and drifted to sleep.Next, everything just happened in a blur. There were loud sirens blaring outside of the dog kennel and police came in to investigate the scene. Paramedics were helping the counter person and there was a guy with a long beard that came to me and put me in a van. I didn't really think about him moving me to the van. All I thought about was the pit bull pouncing out of his cage and crashing into the counter person. I kept on replaying the scene in my head over and over again and before I knew it, I had reached another dog kennel.
