Promise

Im back

"Will you keep the promise?" Damian asked looking at me  "what promise?" I asked looking at him "You will never leave me and I will never leave you" he beamed "well you have to promise me something" I said,  my cheeks started to become a bright red "what?" He asked as stepping closer to me "you have to promise me that you'll marry me when we're older!" I cheered hopping around like a rabbit "deal" he chuckled.

A week later...

"Damian!! No!! Dad!! I don't want to leave!" I shouted as father pulled me to the car "let me say goodbye at least" I say as tears roll down my face. Right as I said that he let go of me. "Damian!" I shouted grabbing onto him "I'm gonna miss you" I cried as I hugged him like as if it was the last time I'll ever see him again. "I'm sorry for breaking our promise" I whisper into Damian's ear "it's okay, I forgive you but I will keep your promise" he also whispered as he gave me a weak smile "come on Piper, we need to go" my father said opening the car door "bye Damian" I whispered. I let go of him and started walking towards the car.

"I won't forget you." He shouted at me.

"I hope you don't and I won't forget you" I chuckled as I closed the door to the car and left.

I was 4 when I left. It's been ten years since I've been back in my hometown and I'm here to stay.

"Piper! Come get breakfast!" Mom yelled "I'm coming!" I shouted back as I came running down the stairs "what do you want for breakfast? We got cereal, toast, or pop tarts" my mother said as she pointed to the food items that were on the table "I'll take cereal" I said as I grabbed the cereal and sat at the table "are you ready for your first day of school pumpkin?" Dad asked me. Not looking up from his newspaper "um I guess... I'm kinda scared though" I sighed before taking a  bite of cereal. After I finished I said my good byes and left the house.

All I could think about was Damian. He probably moved after I left. He can't still be living here. Can he?

I looked up from the side walk and saw I was already at my school.  "Oh" I sighed looking back down. I started walking towards the school until- "OW! HEY! Watch it!" I shouted as I got up. "Oh sorry" a voice responded I didn't look up yet but right when I did I knew exactly who that person was.

Damian Lockwood.

"O-oh no i-it's okay" I stuttered trying not to look at him.

I can't let him know it's me. I don't know why I feel like I should be doing this.

Ding ding ding! (Class is starting peeps!)

"Oh look at that the bell rang! Okay bye!" I said quickly as I ran into the school.

"She seems familiar...." he mumbled under his breathe.

As I got to my home room I was so scared and nervous. As I sat down in my seat Damian walked into the classroom.

Oh come on.

"Okay class, today we have a new student" shouted  the teacher as she was looking at some papers she was holding "her name is Piper Cross, Piper would you like to tell the class about yourself?"

"Uh I'm sorry but I don't wanna say anything about myself."
