There are still the reminders of each touch... every hug and every word he whispered in my ears... Back then I was too naive and a child to be able to admit it. You know the case of children always playing the "syche" game, everything that came before that word was taken as a joke. I loved him, he loved me but not a word was said to be taken seriously. He would arrive to my home everyday after school or even on days when there was no school or daycare because his molther worked till late so she had no one to take care of him.
10:00 a.m. - Sunday
I had just gotten up and brushed my teeth , walking towards the kitchen for breakfast. Entering the small hall way passing the living room and turning left at the corner into the kitchen there I saw him. Sitting there with a deck of Yu-gi-oh cards as usual. I grabbed a bowl of cereal with milk, our favorite captian crunch. Yum. I sat down at our wooden oval shape table in the seat next to him, like always on days he was there the sun always shined brightly and filled the room with an incredible bright light that made everything seem so much colorful.
"Hi", I said as I reached for a spoon full of cereals.
"Hey! Finally your awake! took you too long. He replied
"Haha! my bad but you know I need my sleep or else I won't be able to play you properly in a game of Yu- gi- oh and thats cheating, cause you know I can beat you!" I answered with a smile.
He grinned. "Haa, thats funny you can't beat me when your awake either."
His eyes sparkled, a beautiful Hazel color with more green then brown. They always had a sense of tranquility, even though he was here with me his eyes seem to have their own little world. Everytime I stared too long it felt like I was being wrapped in a warmth and kind but addictive place. I could never break away from them or even break away from him...
Ta!Ta!Taataaaa!! or something like that. Yu-gi-oh had started on the tv , I had just finished eating my cereals and we had rushed into the living room and raised the volume. We sat next to eachother smiling and grinning like if a blessing of the gods had just fell. Our usual reaction for that would be only for sweets and treats. Epic happiness. I would eventually sneak glances at him and turn towards the tv when he moved or looked like he was going to look at me. We kept watching and as the show ended, I don't know if it was just me but it felt like we were sitting a bit closer than before...
