A Marichat Love Story

Chapter One: Why?

Hi everyone! This is my first ever story so it might be a little bad and I'm really inexperienced with this stuff! But I hope you enjoy it as much as I've enjoyed writing it! :)

Marinettes POV:

Patrol was a normal thing for me, but tonight I felt extremely tired, and sick of all the responsibilities my life throws at me. But, being Ladybug, I couldn't show this side of me to anyone, as I was supposed to be strong and determined. Why can't I just live a regular life? Why is it so hard to be a normal teenager? I thought to myself, staring at the night sky. This moment was interrupted by a familiar voice behind me...

"Hey, bugaboo!" I heard Chats voice from behind me and whipped around. "Chat! You scared me!" I exclaimed. "Sorry m'lady, was something bothering you?" I saw the worry in his emerald eyes. "Yeah yeah fine!" "Why do you ask chaton?" "Well, you looked kind of uh... out of it..." he said, scratching the back of his neck... "Yes! Got to go now Chat!" I quietly said yo-yoing away. This was a typical move for me, as I hated seeing Chat worry about me. I might hide it, but, I actually have feelings for that cat.

I crawled under my covers, feeling bad for Chat as I left him there, just like I normally do. Why does he have to be so understanding, so kind? Ughhhhhh. I have to get some sleep.

Adriens POV:

I was confused, why would she just leave me there? I lazily crawled onto my bed, my transformation wearing off as soon as I slapped my head on the pillow. "Ughhhh where's the cheeseeee?" Plagg groaned. "In the cabinet" I said miserably, I wanted to know why Ladybug wouldn't trust me. I fell asleep, thinking about why she jumps away every time she needs to talk about her feelings.

No ones POV:

Marinette slept in, as it was Saturday morning and she had no intent of getting up early. She groaned as she looked at the time and it was already 10:30am ughhh. She closed her eyes for one second! She was about to go downstairs for breakfast when...

BANG!

There was a huge shooting sound coming from outside. She immediately yelled "TIKKI SPOTS ON!" When she looked outside and saw people running for their lives and screaming. Why does Hawkmoth feel the need to akumatize people at such early times? Whatever. Let's just get this over and done with, she thought.

(I can't write fight scenes so be prepared haha)

I am expéditrice! I will send you into the future where you will never escape! *Evil laugh* Ladybug rolled her eyes. She had dealt with so many akumas just like this one. "Hey m'lady! What have we got here?" "Haha! Hey Ladybug and Chat Noir! You better watch out, I'll be getting your miraculouses today and there will be nothing you can do about it!"

Ladybug saw she had a ring on her finger that shot out the portals. "Chat! The akuma is in her ring!" "Got it!" He shouted and immediately tried to grab her ring unsuccessfully. Expéditrice was getting annoyed now and pinned Ladybug down. Chat ran over to her quickly, making sure Expéditrice wasn't hurting her and trying helplessly to get her off of her. Expéditrice was flown back by Chat's baton, and fell face-down onto the floor. This was getting out of hand, Ladybug thought and called out her famous "LUCKY CHARM!" Scissors flew down from the sky. She looked around, frantically trying to search for something she could use to help. She saw a piece of paper, Chat, glue and her ring. She knew exactly what to do. "Chat! Distract her!" She immediately got to work, cut a little piece of the paper and put some glue on it quickly, then placed it on her ring so she couldn't shoot. Chat knew what she was doing, shouted "CATACLYSM!" And broke the ring. "MIRACULOUS LADYBUG!" "Bye bye little butterfly." "Ladybug, Chat Noir? What am I doing here?" She asked, confused.

"POUND IT!" They shouted. She was about to jump away when she felt an arm gram her. "Wait, Ladybug, we didn't finish the conversation we had last night..." He looked quite tense. " Oh yeah! Don't worry about that!" She forced a smile. Chat was the only one that could really understand her issue but she didn't want to worry him. "M'lady, you can tell me, you made it even more suspicious when you randomly lef-" " Stop it Chat! I don't want to talk about it with you! You are making me more miserable!" I said a little too harshly. How the guilt stuck me when I looked into his pretty eyes, now sad and heartbroken. He didn't deserve me saying that.  He's too sweet and precious for someone to ever say that to him... but she did. And it hurt her. More than anything in the world. "Oh." Is all he could say. "I'm sorry you feel that way about me Ladybug." He muttered and slowly walked away into the distance. "Chat wait! I didn't mean that at all! Please come back! I do trust you! You're not making me miserable!" But he was already gone.

Marinette's POV:

I hate myself. I hate myself. I hate myself. Why did I have to say that? He hates me now. He hates me.
I shuddered when I recalled the events and he called me Ladybug.
Ladybug.
He has never really called me Ladybug, it was always m'lady or bugaboo or love bug, which I liked. But he didn't. He called me Ladybug. I let a tear fall down my cheek but quickly wiped it away and worked on some designs. "Marinette, are you okay?" I heard Tikki say. "I will be Tikki, I just feel so bad!" I cried out. "I'm sure he doesn't hate you, it'll be fine." She reassuringly said. "He does Tikki, and it's all my fault, I groaned. I was about to leave my room when I heard a slight tap on the door...
Chat Noir.
