Ch. 1 hide and seek

~~~~ Sora POV ~~~~

I sat in my room working on my battle puppet Akuma when daddy walked in.

"Daddy" I shout happily and run to him. I jumped at him and he caught me and spun me around. I squealed in delight.

"higher higher" I shouted and he laughed and lifted me high in the air. after a couple minutes of spinning me around he brought me to him chest and hugged me tightly.

I looked up at him and he smiles at me. "How is Akuma's new detachable limbs coming alone?" Daddy asks.

my smile widens "great" I exclaim. I then frown slightly "but I am Having trouble with making her head detachable" I pout.

Daddy chuckles "don't worry I will help you with it" "yay" I jump down from his arms and walked over to Akuma who was lying on my wooden work table.

"come on daddy" I say pulling at his hand he chuckles and allows me to lead him to the table.

he is about to grab the tools when my door open and Deidara-Nii walks in. deidara is 10 and is 3 years older then me. He isn't my real brother but I love him as one anyway.

"Nii-San" I yell and run to him and hug him around his knees. Nii-san chuckles and kneels down to my level and smile "hello Imōto" he says.

(Nii-San means brother and Imōto means little sister)

I hug him again. "What do you need brat?" Daddy asks turning around from working on Akuma to look at deidara-Nii with a raised eyebrow.

I giggles at Nii-san's nickname. "nothing Sasori no Danna. I was just coming to visit Sora-chan" dad rolled his eyes and turned around to continue working on Akuma.

Deidara-Nii sticks his tongue and hand tongues at daddy. "I know you at sticking your tongues at me" dad says without looking up from his work.

Deidara-Nii looked at dad with a baffled expression and I giggle again. daddy and Nii-san have been parters for over a year now and they still act silly around each other.

"Can we play a game Deidara-Nii?" I ask hopefully. giving Nii-San my best puppy dog eyes. Nii-San chuckles, brings his hand to my head and ruffles my hair.

"sure sora-chan, what do you want to play?" "Hmmmm" "how about hide and seek" Nii-San say. "yes" I shout in happiness. "you count" "okay 1 2 3 4..." I quickly ran down the hall and looked for a place to hide.

'I know I will hide in grandpa's room' I barrel down the hall to Kakuzu's room. I see him sitting at his desk counting money 'of course' I think to myself as I roll my eyes

"Grandpa!" I shout and grandpa turns around in his chair just in time to catch me as I jump onto his lap. "hello sora what brings you here?" grandpa asks putting down his money.

"I'm playing hide and seek with deidara-Nii and I need a place to hide" I explain. "Aren't you a little old to play hide and seek?" Asks grandpa "grandpa" I whine.

"I am only 7" "oh right I keep forgetting" grandpa says chuckling. "Ready or not here I come" I hear Nii-San shout.

I squeaked. "grandpa hide me!" I whisper yell. grandpa sighs "fine hide behind that stack of money." grandpa says while point towards one of the many large piles of money.

"deidara knows to NEVER touch my money"

"okay" I jump off his lap and bolt behind the huge stack of cash. just as I had ducked behind that massive among of cash, grandpa's door was flung open by Nii-San "got ya!" he shouted.

"Got what deidara" grandpa said in a scary voice. "O-oh a kakuzu you are in here um well you see I was looking for-" grandpa cut deidara-Nii off "if I were you deidara I would get out of my room now"

"yes kakuzu, right away" Nii-San said quickly running out of the room. "Is he gone?" I ask peaking up from my hiding spot with a few pieces of money on the top of my head.

grandpa chuckled "yes he is gone" "thanks grandpa" I say running up to him and hug his leg. I look up at him with a big smile and he chuckled Again.

I climbed onto his lap andd sat facing him with my little legs wrapped around his waist and my arms around his neck.

I starting playing with his mask and took it off. I bring a hand up to his face and gently trace the stitches "Why do you wear a mask grandpa?"

"Because most people become scared of me when they see my face" he said. "I'm not scared" I say. "Well you aren't most people" he said chucking. I giggle

"I like you eyes grandpa, they look so cool" I grab some of his hair and start playing with it.

"Why don't you go find somewhere else to hide so deidara doesn't come barging into my room again" grandpa says going back to counting his money.

"okay" I say sadly. "but can I come visit you tonight?" I ask hopefully. grandpa stops counting money and looks down at me.

A small smile makes it way to his face. "yes sora you can come visit me tonight" my face lit up. "promise" I say holding out my pinky finger.

"promise" he said linking his little finger with mine.
