Author's POV

Mingyu ran through the hallway, checking each classroom to find Haewon. It was making him feel a little tired of checking since he wasn't told what classroom where Haewon is. He takes a break by leaning on the wall beside the lockers, trying to steady his breathing.

He looks on his wrist watch, it didn't take him an hour of running and checking. He let out a heavy sigh before going again but he walk instead of running. While giving glances to each classroom, he finally found her.

She wasn't found in one of the classrooms but was found in the hallway.

He brightly smile and ran to her, he noticed that she was all alone while throwing her things in the locker before locking it. He was right there in time.

"Hello.." He waved as he was out of breath because of running. "Uh Hello, You need some help there?"

He shook his head. Giving him a pause to catch a few breaths, he was ready to speak. "Um Sorry about that..."

The girl in front him gave him a smile and saying a "it's okay"

"I guess you don't know me yet. I'm Kim Mingyu, just call me Mingyu. Not your classmate nor a creep that's following you. I'm a nice guy, alright?" He reach out his hand for a handshake so she accepts it by shaking it. "I'm Choi Haewon.. call me Haewon."

"Ah Haewon, nice to meet you." He smiled. "Hey, you want me to accompany you on your way home?" He kindly asks, Haewon was surprised at his statement. An attractive guy like him asked her if he wants to accompany her on the way home and they just met.

She bit her lower lip before giving an answer, "Um Sure.." Mingyu smiled in excitement, "Okay, let's go."

They both walk side to side, exiting the school. No sign of students stayed in the campus and think they were by themselves. 'It seems like we're the only ones.. but I feel so awkward.' Haewon thought. None of them has the courage to start a conversation since they couldn't think of a topic. She gripped the strap of her bagpack tighter as she can't take the awkwardness.

"Hey.. before you go home, can I take you somewhere?"

"Where?"

"You'll find out!" He dragged her out of the school gates, proceeding to the other direction of the bus stop. "Wait, the bus stop is the other way-"

"I told you, we're going somewhere else." He interrupt.

Haewon felt suspicious about him but he did correct her that he's not a creep anyway. She also couldn't think of something about where would Mingyu take her.

She took a glance of him, scanning his face if he really knows where they're going. He didn't seemed confuse neither excited, he just kept on his normal expression. She gave up instead and gave a sigh. Looking ahead of her, she notice that they're heading to another street. She thinks that he's taking her to his home, but a gentleman would actually take the lady first at home. 'Yeah, I'm expecting too much.' She thought again.

They arrived by the street and continuing to walk together. Until Mingyu dragged her while running, passing by each houses and shops on like a second. 'Why do we keep on running?? Well, this is a whole work out.' She clench her jaw and started worrying about Mingyu if he's okay or totally not.

They reach in an alley between two buildings, it was a long alleyway. They were about to head in but Haewon stopped him by tugging the hem of his shirt. "Why are we going in there?" She asked.

"I have my reasons.. just trust me though. I'll be right by your side while walking there, okay?" It made Haewon believed him because of his smile and how he said it. She answers with a nod.

They both walk in. Of how much fear that took over Haewon, she didn't realize how tight she held on Mingyu's shirt. Every step they both made, it was getting colder that made her legs tremble while walking. "So.. we're almost there?" Her voice echoed. "Yes, just keep on walking."

She obeyed his words but it seemed so stupid for her. How can he say that they're almost there although it's a long way to go? She was also curious when will it end and what is in the end of the path. A light flashes open in front of her eyes, she flinched as she squinted her eyes from being blinded from the light. "Sorry if the light directly hits your eyes. I wasn't doing it in a purpose though." He apologizes.

It was his phone. His eyes glued to the device while the both of them walk. But Haewon was getting annoyed at him, he brought her to this alley without knowing why and he'll just focus on his phone. They continued to walk without saying any word. Again, none of the two has the courage to start a conversation. Haewon is getting impatient and asking in her thoughts how far would they reach there. 'Are we fricking going to Wonderland???'

"Let's stop here.." he stopped her by putting his hand on her shoulder. It made her satisfied, she look around if something was special but there was only nothing. Mingyu suddenly shut off his phone,"Mingyu? Are we here-"

"I'm sorry, Haewon.." she sense the sad tone in his voice. "W-why are you sorry for? You haven't done anything wrong.." she stuttered.

"Well, I do now.."

She felt a hit on her head before someone covering her mouth with some cloth. Feeling unconscious while trying to figure out what was going on. The last thing she remembered is closing her eyes and drifting off to dreamland.
