The entire day was a lazy day for Jimin. He didn't want to move, he didn't want to speak, he didn't want to breathe.
His bed is all he wanted.
He removed the vibrator out of himself long before, leaving his bathroom in a mess but excusing himself by saying "I'll just clean it up later."
He also had dance practice later on, but just seriously didn't want to get up.
"I'm sure the other members won't object if I say I'm feeling sick.." he murmured quietly, burying himself further into his sheets.
The sound of a knock resonated throughout his room, making him promptly turn his head to his locked bedroom door.
He feigned a cough, "Who is it?"
He heard mumbling on the other side of the door before Seokjin's voice was heard.
"Jimin, you've been in there all day. We have dance practice in less than an hour and we need you to get ready."
Jimin let a moment of silence pass between them before answering. "I.. I don't feel too great. I think I'll have to pass for today, I'm sorry."
Though, Seokjin didn't respond.
Jimin sighed in relief, presuming he had left him alone to dwell in his thoughts.
"Jimin." Seokjin finally said tenderly, "Is something worrying you?"
Jimin gulped, "No."
"Can you please let me in, sweetheart? Speak to me."
The faucet in Jimin's eyes began to trigger for no reason at all, yet regardless he still got out of bed and unlocked the door for Seokjin.
He was standing in the doorway, giving Jimin a distressed look. "Darling, I'm going to come in your room now, is that alright?"
Jimin kept a blank expression and moved aside, which Jin took as a sign to proceed.
They both went over and sat onto his bed. Jimin's back was straightened and his hands were placed weirdly by his sides.
"Sweetheart, relax. I'm not going to bite you, I'm just here to talk." Seokjin said, placing a hand on Jimin's thigh comfortingly.
Jimin sighed and drooped down, placing his hands in his lap and looking up at Seokjin blandly.
"Sorry."
"Don't apologise, little baby." Seokjin cooed, ruffling Jimin's hair and smiling fondly at his soft pout.
"Now, tell me what's wrong."
"There isn't anything wrong." Jimin grumbled, looking at his lap and playing with his fingers.
Seokjin sighed. "Chim, me and you both know that there is clearly something wrong."
It's true, Seokjin has always had this motherly instinct that all the members fall victim to. You just can't not have a weak spot for Jin, it's practically inconceivable.
"I..."
He trusts him, he can tell him, right?"I.. I can't explain it.. it just feels like.. like the world hates me.. and everyone is against me and always trying to make me feel misunderstood and irritated. And I can't help but feel so- so... fucking useless complaining and whining like a baby over something I don't even know why I'm unhappy about, when there are people out there in the world who have it worse than me. I-I feel so... so small and incompetent and I-I know that I don't have a right to c-complain, but... but I just.. I just can't.. it feels like everybody is targeting me and I-"
"Oh baby..." Seokjin said, hushing the poor boy, engulfing him in his bone-crushing embrace.
By now, Jimin was full-on sobbing and didn't even realise. He just carried on ranting, ignoring the feeling of his throat and chest tightening until it vigorously had to prevent him from talking.
"Sweetheart. Please don't you ever dare say those things about yourself again. Yes, there will be people in the world who may be in a more detrimental situation, but that does not mean you do not have the right to be upset either. Just because someone else's problems may feel as though they are bigger, it doesn't make yours any smaller. It's okay to be confused, it's okay to not know why you're feeling this way, Jimin. I'm here for you through it all, I will support and encourage you no matter what happens. I'm so proud of you, my little baby, and I will forever shield you from every threat in this world. I love you, my precious Chim, and it's okay to feel this way. You're doing great, just let it out....l-let it all out." Seokjin whispered shakily, rubbing Jimin's back comfortingly, his own bottom lip trembling.
After a few minutes they leaned away from the hug, both pairs of eyes stained with water. "I'm okay now.. I'm sorry I made you cry.." Jimin said gloomily, peering down at his lap again.
Seokjin laid his hand under Jimin's chin and lifted his head to make their gazes meet, "No, Chim. I'm glad you opened up to me. Don't apologise for making me cry, I did that to myself." He grinned softly, easing the tense situation.
He got up off of the bed slowly, "I'm going to start getting ready for dance practice now, and you should too, okay? Don't feel dispirited anymore, remember you can share anything with me." He smiled kindly, pecking Jimin's forehead softly before leaving the room.
He stopped right at the door, and spun around to look at Jimin, "Thank you for trusting me with this, my sweet little baby." He said gently, before closing the door behind him.
Jimin tried to ignore the red flush on his cheeks. Trust me, he tried.
