The distant thudding of the beat in the background made my head spin. The flashing lights didn't help either, but I'm thinking, how hasn't anyone had a seizure yet with these lights?

"Amber! Come get another shot!" Tiff yelled over the music, waving for me to walk over.

I made my way through the crowd of sweaty bodies dancing on the dance floor, over to her. Her bright skimpy, neon pink dress didn't make her hard to find.

"Ready girly? Bottoms up!" She laughed, handing me the shot glass.

"Bottoms up!" I downed the shot, before scrunching my face.

I felt the burning sensation in my throats, as I downed the shot. I shook my head before taking a deep breathe. I looked around to see, what everyone else was going. TIFF was on a roll, with the bartender. Typical of her, to be honest.

I looked back at the dance floor,my friend Jada and Kim were dancing up a storm. They're dating, the only gay couple I was friends with here. Actually my only friends. I pushed through the sweaty bodies once more, to return to my place on the floor.

"Hey pretty lady, wanna trip?" Some random girl came up to me, revealing a tab on her tongue.

"I'm all good, thanks"

"Over here Britney!" Jada shouted, smiling and laughing up a storm while Kim looked like a vampire drinking blood from her neck.

Everyone in the club tonight was getting love, except for me. I frowned at that the thought. I'm only 19, at a club with a fake idea, I'm not worried about finding love just yet.

I danced on the floor for a few more hours, before checking my phone. Holy shit! It's 3:45am! My brother is gonna kill me!

"Jada! I have to leave! I'll catch up with you girls later!" I shouted waving goodbye at the girls.

"Be safe Amber! Love you!!" Jada waved goodbye, followed by Kim and Tiff.

Tiff was shitfaced, Kim and Jada were cross faded pretty badly. I should be the one telling them to be safe. Oh well. I grabbed my silver heals and made my way out of the club.

The black lights at the entrance made me squint my eyes in pain. The city was quite, and there were few street lights. Of course, the club we decided to go to, has to be on the south side. It figured, Kim couldn't have picked a closer club to home. I shook my head, and whistled for a cab.

"Get in miss." An older man, in his late 40s, pulled up in a taxi cab.

"Thank you sir." I opened the back door and threw my shoes in first before I got in.

"Where to?"

"NW 243 Ave, please." I chimed, handing him $50.

"Ah one of those rich and priss girls I see?" The driver raised an eyebrow, looking at me through the review mirror.

"Not quite, it was my friends birthday. We decided to go celebrate it at one of her favorite clubs."

"You look a little young to be in a club, how old are ya?" The driver continued.

"I wouldn't worry to much about. Can I trust you, if I fall asleep?" Leaning my head against the window, watching the street lights pass me by.

"Of course, I'm not one of those creeps out there. I have 4 kids at home. I have a daughter about the same age as you. She's my oldest, 17." He laughed, "Ah yes, my precious Allie. Looks just like her mother, but acts like me."

I laughed, before closing my eyes to fall asleep...
