"Man, I'm freezing!", Kimbra exclaimed when Wally had closed the door, rubbing her own arms.
"Come on, it's not that cold outside", Wally said, letting out a little laugh.
"Oh, are you sure about it?", she asked in a suspiciously calm tone, taking a few steps closer to him. "Then here you are!"
"Ouch, ah, ah...!", he complained as Kimbra kept cupping his cheeks with her hands, still cold because of their previous outside walk, unsuccessfully trying to stop her until he finally gave up. "You're right! I get it, you're right."
"Okay, honey."
She smiled triumphantly as she closed the remaining gap between them and gave his boyfriend a quick peck on the lips. After that, she turned to walk into the living room, but Wally stopped her, taking her by her forearm and pulling her gently into a big bear hug.
"I thought you were still a little cold so you would need this", he murmured, kissing the top of her head.
"Thank you", she said with a big smile as she looked up to face him, pleasingly surprised; then, she quickly buried her face into his chest again to savor the moment. "Ah... It feels so good."
"Hey, calm down, it's just a hug, uh?"
"Shut up, silly", she hummed lazily against his chest.
"Just messing with you... I'm really enjoying it too."
A minute later, they pulled away and looked at each other lovingly, a lot of memories coming back to their minds. It hadn't been the only time he had protected her from getting too cold.
"Do you feel better now?", Wally asked, breaking the silence. "I'll go prepare some tea, do you want some?"
"Yes, please", she answered, smiling weakly as she made her way to the living room and let herself fall on the couch, still remembering the day she felt cold by his side for the first time.

"Well, that was all for now I guess! Are you happy with the work done?" Wally asked, still excited.
Kimbra didn't say anything. Instead, she just nodded quickly, giving him a nervous smile.
"I hope the whole process will be finished soon, I think we all did a great job and I can't wait to see the results..."
Oh, there was talkative Gotye again, Kimbra thought, rolling her eyes. He was almost fangirling sometimes. Moreover, it was even harder to handle this time, with the suddenly cold weather. She should've brought more chlotes, indeed. She was freezing! She discretely rubbed her hands against each other, silently wishing to feel a little bit warmer.
"... but I think I'm allergic to the paint though because if not I don't understand why I began sneezing during the sh-"
That didn't work, though, and her trembling was becoming more and more obvious, teeth cringing. She had the feeling that she was going to pass out at any moment.
"Kimbra?"
She didn't even realize that it had been a while since Wally had stopped talking until he said his name worryingly. She looked up to face him.
"Y-ye-yeah?", she tried to answer.
"Are you okay? You look so pale", he observed, visibly concerned.
"W-well... I-I think I might have gotten a little cold b-because... Y-you know... The shooting and everything. A-and I didn't know it would be s-so cold at-t night...", she answered, trying to smile.
Wally glared at Kimbra, who was wearing a skirt and a t-shirt. After that, he looked down at himself, checking if he could lend her some chlotes, but he was only wearing a sweater and jeans.
There was just one option left. And, keeping it in mind that, first, both were in a relationship with other people and, second, they just had done a fourteen-hour shooting practically without any chlotes, it might be pretty weird.
But, as he had just observed, it was the only option left.
He took a step closer to her and opened his arms, inviting her to join him in a hug. She blushed lightly, wondering if he was doing it because he had to or because he actually cared. It had to be the first reason, so she didn't want to bother him.
"Oh!", she exclaimed, well-aware of his kind gesture. "Don't worry, I a-"
But it was to late.
Ignoring her comment, he pulled her in a hug. It was quite warm and, although she hesitated at first, she didn't complain and she early started to feel really thankful for it. She felt the softness of his sweater between her hands. Wally was skinny, the black-haired thought, but luckily his shoulders were wide enough to easily protect her petite body.
And, to their surprise, in spite of the situation, it didn't feel weird at all. Actually, it happened to be quite the opposite.
It felt so good.
"Hey", Wally whispered, noticing that she was still trembling a little. "It's okay."
They prolonged the embrace until she stopped shivering, and maybe a little more time because of the comfort of the moment. They pulled away slowly, mentally regreting it. Then, they looked at each other shyly, perhaps feeling a little guilty because of the special meaning that gesture had just acquired for both of them.
But it might have been just a misinterpretation of their minds, wasn't it?
"Thank you", sentenced Kimbra, regainin her composure, swiftly looking away.
"You're welcome", replied Wally, doing almost the same.
And, from that day on, she would never see him the same way. And, deep inside, neither would he.
"Let me guess...", Wally said playfully, snapping Kimbra back into reality.
"Guess what?", she looked at him with a questioning look, smiling widely at the same time.
"You were thinking about that first hug, weren't you?", he inquired, sitting by her side.
"Touché. How did you know?", she asked, curiously.
"I was thinking about it too", he confessed, giving her a sincere smile as he put his arm around her shoulder, while she smiled back at him, laying her head on his chest.
Definitely, everything always felt so good with him.
