Chapter 4

First POV

The police were stilling wrapping up the work from the events on the ship. I had to wait there until they were done since I was an officer as well. Someone was nice enough to give me some shorts to wear so I can shift back into my 100% human form. It was cold though. Rei and I were standing off to the side so that we didn't "get in the way". As we were standing there, I felt something around my shoulders.

"You look cold," a kind voice said.

He had long, red hair tied in a low ponytail with some of his bangs hanging to the side. He had a soft smile on his face and it turned to a concerned expression when he saw the condition that Rei and I were in. I mean, who wouldn't, Rei's tights were dirty and ripped, and well, I just looked like a mess.

"You okay? Do you need a ride?" He asked us, but he was looking more at me.

"Oh no, we're fine. I actually have to wait to get the 'okay' to drive us home. Thank you for the offer though," I explained while giving him a smile.

Rei nodded in agreement.

"Oh, so you're a narc, or a cop maybe?" He asked.

Wait what? How did he know that we were with the narcs? Then, the realization hit both Rei and I like a freight train.

"You're with REVEL," Rei said.

He smiled at us.

"You both can call me Hatori, Rei Izumi and (Y/N) (L/N)."

Oh boy.

Third POV

Hatori was at his usual meet up with his two co-workers/friends, Aki Kagura and Keita Maki. He was in a very good mood since he was thinking about a certain female cop that he had lent his jacket to the night before. This didn't go unnoticed by the other two.

"You sure seem to be in a good mood, Hatori," Maki told him.

Hatori hummed in agreement.

"I had a sweet little encounter," he said.

"Again? Must be nice, Mr. Player," Kagura scoffed.

Hatori gave his sarcastic friend a quick look since he had taken quite a liking to the female officer.

"I told you about them right? Those strange women I ran into? One of them happened to be the Beast Queen of the DCD. I'll introduce you to her sometime, Maki," Hatori told his green-haired friend.

"Please don't bother," he replied while taking his turn in their pool game.

First POV

"Hey, we're back," Itsuki said as he opened to door.

I was excited to see what everyone thought of Rei and mine's new hairstyles. Rei had cut her hair to where it was above her shoulders. My (h/l) (h/c) was still the same length, but I had put dark lowlights in my hair and I had it in a different style than what I normally would wear it in. Little do they know, since my animal DNA allows me to change my fur color, it's also a recipe for natural highlight colors. Wolfie had also recovered from his cold, so he was back on the job today.

"Hi, everyone."

"Mornin', people."

I limped in a little. My leg was a little sore from the previous event. Oh man, did I get an ass-chewing by everyone when I got home last night. Itsuki did just a little bit, but it wasn't terrible. I still had Hatori's jacket from last night. He seemed really nice, but I still had to keep my guard up. Wolfie was helping me walk a little and kept really close to me.
