Chapter Two: The Vanishing of Will Byers

Your alarm went off at 7:30 just like every day. You looked and saw that Nancy was already awake and dressed. "Morning sleepyhead." She smiled at you from her mirror.

"Morning Nance. How long have you been up?" You sat up and rubbed your Y/E/C eyes.

"About 15 minutes. Now go get ready. Your hair is a mess." You looked in the mirror and saw that your y/h/c hair was a mess.

"Thanks Nance. You should have Barb come over sometime. I like her." Nancy smiled in the mirror.

"Maybe. I'll ask if she can on Friday. I know Mom would love for her to come over. Mom loves her too. Now go get ready. You don't have long." She rushed you to the closet to get your clothes.

You laughed. "Thanks Nance but I already knew that." You grabbed a pink shirt with blue jeans and tennis shoes. "I'm changing in the bathroom."

"Morning sis. I was just coming to see if you where up." You heard Mike day from behind you.

You turned around and smiled. "Morning bro. I just woke up. I'm going to get ready now. I'll see you at breakfast." You walked to the bathroom and got dressed. You braided your y/h/c hair.

You walked down the stairs and saw your mom, dad, and little sister Holly all sitting at the table. "Good morning family!" You said as you sat down in your chair.

"Good morning Y/N! Your in a cheery mood this morning." Your dad said when you sat down.

You started eating your breakfast. "I slept good last night." The phone rang. "I'll get it! Hi Joyce! It's Y/N. No, Will isn't here. Mom made everyone go home last night. Maybe he left for school early. He's been showing up early lately. Ok bye Mrs. Byers!" You hung up the phone as Mike came downstairs.

"Who was that?" He asked sitting down.

"Joyce wondering if Will was here. She can't find him this morning and she doesn't know if he came home last night. But I'm sure he's fine. He's Will, he has to be." You smiled and sat back down and continued to eat.

*timeskip to during school*

"Ok. Where is Will? He wasn't here this morning, and now he's missing biology? That's not like him." Lucas said to the group. Just then the intercom came on.

"Can Y/N Wheeler, Mike Wheeler, Lucas Sinclair, and Dustin Henderson please report to the principals office immediately." You all stood up and walked to the office.

Mike came up next to you. "Hey, it's ok. Maybe they found Will, or need help finding him."

You walked into the office and saw Chief Hopper and a deputy there. "Ok children, sit down so we can get started. When was the last time any of you saw or heard from Will Byers?" Hopper asked.

"It was last night," you said warily, "Lucas, Dustin, and Will came over to play D&D. They left around 8:10."

"We rode with him to 6th Street then he went home. Or at least down towards his house." Dustin said

"Joyce called our house this morning wondering if he'd stayed the night." Mike said looking around the room. All of you where anxious and it was very clear.

"Well, Joyce came in this morning and filed a missing persons report on Will. We are starting a search, and we would like it if you didn't try and find him yourselves so you don't get hurt." Hopped said looking at all four of you.

When you heard that Will was missing, you started crying. You turned and hugged Mike and Hopper left to room. "What if they don't find him?" You asked through Mike's shirt.

Mike knew you had liked Will for a while so he expected this. "Hey, look at me," he picked up your head so you where looking into his eyes, "don't worry. Hopper will find him. And I don't care what Hopper said, I'm going out and looking for him."

"But what of you guys disappeared too? Then I'd be all alone. Let me go with you. Please mike!" You cried.

"Don't worry Y/N, you can come with us. I don't care what Mike says, your in the party and deserve to be out there just as much as me, Lucas, or Mike." Dustin reassured you, patting your shoulder.

You sat up slowly. "Thanks Dustin. I appreciate it. Now, let's go after school. I want to find Will. I don't want him getting hurt."

Lucas smiled. "Y/N's got a crush!" He teased.

You blushed profusely. "Lucas! Shut up! No I don't!"

"Uh, yeah you do. I hear you talking about it to Nancy all the time." Mike announced laughing. You playfully slapped his shoulder.

"You only know that cuz you eavesdrop on us!"

"I still know it. But don't worry. We will find Will." Mike smiles and hugged me.

"Ah! No!! Affection!!"

Lucas and Dustin laughed. "Hey, lets go to class. We can go tonight."

*timeskip to that night*

"Ok, lets go find Will." Dustin handed everyone flashlights and made sure everyone had their walkie rallies and extra batteries. You got on your bike and rode into the woods.

"Will! Will! Where are you?! Will!" You screamed looking everywhere for him.

"Will? Is that you?" You heard Mike say.

You quickly ran to Mike and the others. "Will? Mikes hat do you see?" All of a sudden a figure cake out of the darkness. "Will? Is that you?" You saw a girl with a shaved head wearing an oversized yellow shirt. "Who are you?"
