Chapter IV

Ashia, Eutala Forest

The sky, with an orange tint, illuminates the Eutala Forest starting from the treetops to the roots of the giant trees enveloping the home of the Children of Eutala tribe, one that worships one of the Legendary Beasts from a well-known legend.

In the Children of Eutala tribe, there lived a family of high rank, the one who leads the tribe. Freesia Auberon, the Countess and the daughter and heir, Kanami Auberon.

Currently, the young female heir is staring at the mirror with a bold look on her face. She stares at her reflection for a few moments before a laugh escaped her lips, then beginning to tie her hair to a unique tie.

She balls her fists and there was a large glint of determination in her eyes. Today is the day where her skills will be put to the test, whether she will officially become the heir and future Countess, or in other words, the Count Trial.

"Alright! Game face on."

Kanami turns her heel and gets out of her small room which led to outside. The houses in the tribe are created inside the thick trunks of the trees, and the pathways to the houses are connected with a stable wooden bridge and staircase. Since Kanami is in the second-highest rank, her place was high up from the ground.

Lifting her face up, she let the orange tint of the setting sun dance on her face and some loose strands of hair flow freely along with the breeze of the wind.

The young girl will definitely miss this place. From the wind blowing around and to the tree smells. Even though she was excited for this day to come, she wasn't ready to leave this place behind yet.

18:30

The ceremony of the Count Trial has begun. The tribe members begin to clap in their wooden seats as Kanami gracefully walks in the aisle, just like how they practiced. While the drummers were playing a song made especially for Eutala, there was a woman standing on the stage, with long wavy green hair.

She wears a yellow-colored special kind of tribal clothing which is called Essence, one with a white ribbon and tails reaching behind the knee. This woman is Kanami's mother, the Count of Children of Eutala, Freesia Auberon.

Kanami stops her tracks in front of the stage and then bows down to her mother gazing down on her from the stage. Freesia nods and sits down on her wooden throne which was designed with large leaves behind it and two tall torches placed beside it.

"Kanami Auberon will now receive her Count Trial!" The countess announces as the Eutala music fades into the background. "I believe all of you are aware of the ancient ruin we've discovered in the Eutala Forest. There is a vacuous space that resembles a specific symbol. The trial is to go forth, retrieve the anonymous item and open the ruin."
