Set six years after the war: Auror Potter is injured during a hunt for the last remaining members of Voldemort's inner circle. He and Draco are thrown back together into a turbulent acquaintance that still holds some unresolved issues that relate back to a few extraordinary weeks in their sixth year. I have written this story as a sequel to 'Irresistible Poison' written (I believe) by Rhysenn and posted on Wattpad by @RomanceeeeeDrarry. I have used the Epilogue of 'Irresistible Poison' as the alternative ending and returned to canon so not all of my story fits exactly with this first part. Although not strictly necessary, I suggest you read 'Irresistible Poison' first – it is beautiful, if not heart-breaking. If you are familiar with this story you will notice I have occasionally used similar phrasing to add a sense of continuity (rather than simply plagiarism for the sake of plagiarism!), I have tried to do this sensitively.
This story also contains a number of head-cannons that I've read along the way, simply because I love them and they've provided inspiration. Happy treasure hunting!
Warning: Harry is very sweaty in this story (for a reason: it's meant to reflect his angsty state of mind plus his overtly masculine military work environment). No smut! Angst! More Angst! Slow build! This story contains very strong language throughout (if you don't like, don't read).
