Mind Break

Chapter One

Hi you don't know me, I'm Alexis. I'm a bipolar schizophrenic insomniac. I see things, hear things, I don't sleep,and I have random mood breaks. My mom and father used to beat and hurt me for years. My brother offed himself a long time ago. He couldn't handle all the abuse. I'm now 26 and I live alone. I've been in a relationship since I was 20. He doesn't know anything about me. My mental health I should say. Well I know I don't know much else to say so let's get into my life!

I sat in my room texting my boyfriend Ray using it as a way to stop seeing everything around me. "Baby I miss you can you please come over I'm lonely." I quickly send him turning up my volume covering my eyes whimpering. "I'm okay.. Its not real. It's not real." I mumble to myself as I hear my phone go off. I quickly go and check it seeing it was Ray. " ya I'll be over in a bit love." I see him say I smile to myself seeing everything was gone so I relax and lay down taking a deep breath. I felt kinda sorry since its one in the morning and I probably woke him up. "I should ask him.." I mumble then moments later hear up pull up to my house so I rush outside and see him get out.
I run over to him and tackle him into a hug shaking, seeing something behind him so I yell. "No he's mine! Leave him alone!" I blink a few times seeing it was only an allusion. I quickly calm down and snuggle into him as he looks behind him confused. "Baby are you okay? Who are you yelling at?" He asks pulling me close rubbing my back taking me inside locking the door clearly worried about me. "No one. I'm sorry. I'm just really tired." I mumble holding his shirt as he laughs a little. "Of course you're tired silly, you haven't been sleeping much the last few days, let's go get some rest okay?" He asks picking me up as I nod laying my head on his chest taking in a deep breath, relaxing snuggling into his chest smelling his cologne causing a small smile on my face.
He lays me in bed and lays down next to him holding me close causing a small smile on my face. "I love you baby." I say smiling up at him as he kisses me dearly. "I love you to baby but get some sleep." I nod and snuggle into him slowly falling asleep on him clinging to shirt.
When I woke up I found myself on top of Ray so I lean over and kiss his nose getting up heading over to the kitchen, starting to make food for me and Ray. I hear a loud bang behind me causing me to jump and drop the knife I had been holding grabbing the nearest frying pan spinning around. "Hello?" I ask shaking not seeing anyone so I calm down and put the pan down cracking a few eggs, making them putting on a bit of music dancing around a little, pulling up a chair sitting back relaxing a little have a small smile on my face.
After a bit I put there chair away grabbing a plate putting the food on it. All of the sudden I let out a small yelp turning around nervously seeing an awake Ray standing behind me smiling. "So tell me what happened to sleeping love?" He asked setting the plate down pulling me close causing me to blush and look up at him flustered. "I wanted to make you breakfast.." I mumble pointing at the eggs and few slices of bacon as he smiles and kisses my forehead lovingly. "I love you baby." He mumbles as he takes the the plate heading to the couch taking a bite of food. "Amazing as always." He says before continuing to eat as I make my own plate then head over next to him sitting down next to him taking a bite. "Waffles would of been better.." I mumble clearly kinda disappointed in myself for not making him some thing else. "Hey, no. No sad faces. Its amazing and I love it no matter how much effort is put into it. My baby made it and I always love what my baby makes." He says kissing my cheek causing me to put on a small smile.
After a bit of time we both finish eating so I take his plates and start heading to my kitchen, as I go past my hallway in the corner of my eye, I see something at the end of the hallway causing me to go tense and drop the place as I jerk over to see if something was actually there. It disappears once I hear the glass plates shatter. I look down then tear up seeing I had dropped them. "Damn it..." I mumble tearing up, fourth plate this week.. It's only Wednesday..
I see Ray jerk up and look at me seeing the shattered plates. "Baby are you okay?! Don't move!" He says quickly rushing over picking me up getting me out of the glass, walking over it watching his step sitting me on the counter starting to check on me. "Are you okay?! What happened?" He asks as I whimper. "I was walking and they slipped. I'm sorry..." I mumble tears starting to stream down my face. He sighs and relaxes pulling me close rubbing my back. "Its okay love, just please be more careful. You know how much I worry about you." He says as I nod letting out a small whimper clinging to him holding his shirt.
Suddenly I laugh then look up at him kissing him softly pulling him close wrapping my arms around his legs. "Do you want to move in?" I ask holding him close rubbing his back.
"That's sudden. " he says laughing a little holding her close. "I mean I guess I could, we have been together almost seven years maybe its time for me to finally move in." He says kissing my neck softly causing me to let out a small moan. "Baby stop it! Not today." I whine pushing him away pouting, laying back down with a huff as I finally grab my phone and start to read a book.
