Three days after the attack on Haven Academy(Yang POV)
I'm walking through the halls of the house we rented in Mistral, trying to find Ruby because Ozpin had called for a meeting about the plan. I headed over to the kitchen and could hear someone opening the fridge.
Yang: Ruby? Where are you? Ozpin called everyone to the-
I opened the door to find Ruby and Neo in some sort of cookie/ice cream eating contest. Roman and Y/n were cheering them on while Shade was trying to look away until he saw me and told everyone else. The room went silent as everyone looked at me in the doorway.
Shade: This isn't what it looks like. I had no say in this.
Y/n and Neo: Uuuuuuuuhhhh-
Yang: Stop. Just pack your things and meet us in the living room. *walks out*
Neo: Well, this is awkward.
Ruby: Trust me.There have been more awkward moments.
(Y/n POV)
Ren and Jaune were packing their things, Roman and Shade were checking their weapons, and Blake leaned against the wall as you walk in the room, your bag in hand. You sit between Neo and Ruby as Oscar walks into the room, Qrow standing behind him. Yang, Nora, and Weiss were eyeing you and your friends as if you all did something wrong. Oh, wait...
Yang: Do you guys really have to come with us? Don't you guys have "hover bikes" or whatever?
Shade: Well sorry, but some idiot left them on and they ran out of fuel. *looks at Roman*Fuel that is not available on this world.
Roman: What is your problem with me?
Oscar: Anyway, Ozpin said that we need to take the relic to Atlas.
Weiss: *looks up* You've got to be joking.
Qrow: Well, without the Spring Maiden to seal the relic back, it's our best option.
Ren: Atlas may be the safest place at the moment, but their borders are closed. General Ironwood called everyone back.
Qrow: Not everyone. *pulls out hologram* Argus is a ways north of us and it's the prime trading port between Anima and Solitas. They got the largest Atlas military base outside of the kingdom, so there's no way they'd leave it abandoned. If we play our cards right, we could convince them to escort us to Ironwood.
Blake: I mean we do have the missing Heiress to the Schnee Dust company.
Weiss: Ex-heiress actually.
Roman: Looks like someone got cut off from the tree, eh?
Weiss: *mad look*
Yang: True, true. But if there's a chance of reward money, I say we go for it.
Weiss: *sigh*
Oscar/Ozpin: Hopefully the first option will suffice. And while I'm sure we all could use more time to recover and adjust to our new friends, I'm afraid time is of the essence.
Blake: Right, as long as that thing is out in the open like that, its power could fall into the wrong hands.
Y/n: What does that thing do exactly? Why so keen on protecting it?
Jaune: Yeah. Qrow never really told us anything about it.
Oscar/Ozpin: Of course. *pulls out lamp* The Relic of Knowledge is a powerful yet dangerous tool that can answer any question. Simply ask it and it would provide an answer.
