Kirishima's POV
Another victim.
I release the pressure in my hand, deactivating my quirk. My fingers are covered in a dark red substance that drips from the tips. I close my hands into fists, satisfied with what I had just done.
I killed a man. But he's not just any stranger. He's a villain. I was hoping he was a part of the League of Villains, but it seems that isn't the case. He has close to no idea what I wanted. So I killed him.
I kneel down, getting up and close to the fresh corpse. I harden a single finger, pressing it harshly against the still warm skin of the man. Cutting into the skin, I carve a symbol. The symbol is simple; a star with an 'x' going over it. All I'm doing it for is to mark the kill as my own.
I'd say I'm somewhat of a popular figure in the news. There's communities who try their best to decode any clues I "accidently" leave behind, trying to figure out who I am. To the press, I'm known as 'The Star Man'. It's a pretty simple name, but I understand why they came up with it. All I leave behind is my symbol.
I grab the body and drag it to a wall, placing him sitting up in a pool of blood. Suddenly, I hear footsteps in the distance. I pay no mind to it, though. I'm in a pretty dark alley, and I'm wearing dark clothing. There's no way they'll-
"Holy shit..."
Oh fuck. I over to the voice, standing up and hardening my arm into a sharp edge. A hero stands there, but they aren't a pro hero. It's my fucking classmate. Katsuki Bakugou."...shit." I mutter under my breath, backing away from the corpse. "Hey! Where the fuck do you think you're going?!" he yells, possibly drawing attention to us. I gotta get out of here. He walks closer, now right next to the body. He glances down at the man's arm, noticing the symbol I wrote just a moment ago. His eyes widen. "Y-You're that killer. The Star Man, or whatever." he angrily says, pointing his gloved finger at me. I smile smugly. I might as well have a little fun.
"Well, of course!" I say, slightly changing my voice. I hold my arms out. "Who else would it be? Those cowardly League of Villains hooligans??" I ask. He tilts his head in confusion. "You're not a part of the league?" he asks. I shake my head. "Never have been, never will be! They stand in the way of peace!" I smile, putting my hands on my hips. I slowly reach to my belt. "Anyways, I'll be leaving now." I pull on the trigger and drop the smoke bomb. Once I was hidden in the smoke, I quickly climb up a ladder on the wall. The smoke clears.
"Hey! Get back here!!" Bakugou yells, running through the remaining smoke. I shake my head. "No can do! Later, kiddo!!" I call out to. He growls, then activates his quirk. He pushes himself up to the rooftop of the building I was standing on. In the moonlight, he looks like some kind of angel of death. Not that he looks like an angel. More like a demon.
I quickly turn on my heel, running in the opposite direction. Jumping from rooftop to rooftop, I flee from Bakugou. He stays on my tail, flying after me with his quirk. Running from him is useless. I turn around once again, pulling out a knife, now. Can't have him putting together the fact that his classmate and an anti hero have the same quirk, now. He lands on the same rooftop as me, glaring.
"How about this?" I say, dropping my defensive stance. "You let me go, and I promise I won't kill the ONE person you tell me not to! Guarantee the safety of anyone of your choosing!" I smile widely. He thinks for a moment, then drops his stance as well. "You mean it? You, a serial killer, will keep a promise like that?" he asks. I nod. "I prefer anti hero, but yes. I truly mean it. Now hurry up before I change my mind and just kill you here and now." I say. He thinks for a moment."Kirishima Eijirou." he says. My eyes widen. The fuck?? "I just... think he deserves it. He's a cool guy." I scoff. "Seriously? Him?? Out of ALL the people you can choose, you choose THAT fuck up?!" I yell. "Fine, whatever." I sigh. "You have my word." Guess I can't go killing myself anytime soon. Not like I was planning on something like that. I turn and run off, Bakugou no longer following me.
Another night, another step towards complete peace.
...
Why would Bakugou want to protect me?
