Chapter 6: Cordelia's Choice

(Mel and Mar)Main POV:
Night comes swiftly, like a predator closing in on prey.
"Its already dusk, let us be swift in this search for the Relic we need not be pursued by the Desert Order, as long as we allow ourselves to furtively get into the ruins and get out" I say pointing to Cordelia whose body lies limp on the ground only accompanied by Melissa's conjured pillow.
"Enough sleep! Wake up!" Melissa casts away the pillow "Aracia!" The pillow vanishes and Cordelia jumps up and goes into a fighting stance.
"O-oh just you!" Cordelia calms down.
"We are just about to leave and go find the Desert Relic." Melissa joyfully grabs her tome and other magical things that would be all but useless to any person who can't use magic.
"What is this Relic called?" Cordelia probes.
"The Mystic Lance, Balzakorma, a weapon that Zaria, The Divine Seraph of the Sands used during The Sealing of Charlotte McRallen." I answer what should be common knowledge.
"I do believe that I've heard of this weapon, I'm also pretty sure I've seen Lord Vallhelm brandishing such a thing during my time as his personal entertainer." Cordelia looks to us. "If you two are thinking about sneaking in and taking it count me out, it'd be suicide to go in."
"Maybe if it was just you, but now that it's nighttime and hopefully not very lively we can afford to be a bit more rough with our abilities and all." Melissa looks at me with a smirk.
"Cordelia there is an underlying reason we chose you to help us and it lies in the fact that you have an aptitude or a sign of acceptance for this weapon, I don't know why, but I've felt a dormant power ever, since we met." Melissa looks to me after I said that and her expression explained all, Cordelia is the person we've been looking for all this time, or at least one of them.
    "Cordelia we'll head on out to the site, if you change your mind then please don't hesitate to come and help us, we'll be at the manor and we will get that relic." I said as Melissa proceeded to leave the hideaway, I followed and hoped that Cordelia will choose the correct choice...
