Blake took me back to the elevator, of course, which led us straight down and opened up into an eerily empty parking garage. A sleek black limousine with dark windows was parked right by the doors to the elevator, with the engine on, humming quietly. It was waiting just for us.
Blake courteously opened the back doors for me and helped me into the car. I held in a gasp as I took in the luxurious interior.
"Sit, my rose, I just need to have a word to the driver. for a moment." Blake said, stepping away from the car for a moment, and wandering around to the other side.
I froze, staring at the open door. It would be so easy for me to leap out and start running. I could sprint into the elevator, and pray that the doors shut behind me in time. Or I could move past the elevator, run towards the exit, and make it out onto the street. There, I would be safe.
But it was no use. The moment the fantasies came up, they were shattered. If I ran to the elevator, Blake would be barely an arms reach away. If I kept running, he would surely catch me. Either way, he would just drag me back to his hell and punish me for disobeying him.
So I stayed put.
Hardly a moment later, Blake came back around and climbed into the limo beside me. He gave me an almost warm smile as he pulled the door shut behind him.
"Okay, my rose. Are you ready?" He asked. I swallowed the lump in my throat and shook my head. At that moment, the car began to move, elegantly gliding across the smooth concrete and towards the exit.
"Now, before you try anything dumb, my rose, this car is soundproof and tinted so no one can see in." Blake said, rubbing my thigh. "Do I even need to warn you what will happen if you do the wrong thing?"
I shook my head. "No sir."
"Good girl." He said, smiling. Then, after a pause. "You did so well up there. How about a reward for your efforts?"
I felt my heart drop to my stomach. "A reward, Sir?"
He grinned. "Yes. A reward. In fact, I think I have an idea. One moment, my rose."
With that, he shifted, leaning to the front of the limo. He tapped on the glass between us and the driver, and it slowly lowered.
"Yes, Mr. Ivy?" The driver said. Blake glanced back at me, then leaned in close to the driver and said something in a hushed voice. The driver nodded, and Blake carefully moved back to his seat. The window slid back up again before I even thought about asking the drive to help me.
Blake threw a grin at me and began rubbing my thigh again. "Alright, my rose. Traffic is bad, so the drive will take a while. How about you keep me occupied while we wait."
I swallowed the lump in my throat. "How, sir?"
He thought for a moment, then grinned at me. "Please me. I want you to get down on the floor on your knees and please me."
"But Blake-" I said, but he cut me off with a scowl.
"Uh uh uh, my rose." He said. "You refer to me as sir, or master. You know that. You also know the rules. Do as I say, when I say it, or you will face the consequences. You don't want to be punished, do you?"
I shook my head. "No... master."
He raised an eyebrow pointedly. "Well, get on your knees and do as I say."
I didn't want to. I wanted to disobey his wishes. I wanted to refuse to give in to his sick desires.
But I didn't.
I'm not sure what stopped me. Fear, perhaps. More likely it was defeat. What was the use of fighting if he had already won?
So I got down on my knees in front of him, and lifted my hands to the zipper of his pressed pants.
I've tried to forget what happened next. I've tried to forget the feeling of hard floor beneath my knees, then how it felt against my back when he pushed me down. How he almost tore the expensive dress I wore in his haste to take it off. How his face looked above me. The sick and twisted pleasure he got from having power over me.
I've tried to forget it. I've tried and failed. Just like so much of my time with Blake.
When he was done, he pulled us up again. He helped me to get dressed again, and told me to fix my hair. Then he kissed me on the top of my forehead, and looked out the window, his hand straying over my thigh.
I fixed my hair, and tried hard not to cry.
At one point, I glanced across at him. He looked pleased with himself. After all, he'd won, why shouldn't he have been.
I knew in that moment that I hated him.
For everything that he had done to me. And for the person he had forced me to become.
"You're staring, Rose." He said, cutting through my internal monologue of hate. "Is something the matter?"
I grit my teeth and shook my head. "No sir. Nothing is wrong."
He nodded. "Good. Now, for the reward we spoke of earlier. You might wish to look out the window, my rose."
I frowned, confused, and lifted my gaze to look outside. My breath caught in my throat.
We were parked across the road from my school.
"Why are we here?" I asked breathlessly, scrambling closer to the window. It was obviously break time, because the front of the school and around the grounds were filled with students. "What are you doing?"
"This is your reward, my rose. I thought you would enjoy seeing some familiar faces." Blake said. Then he pointed towards a group sitting under a tree. "Isn't that girl over there a friend of yours?"
I looked where he was pointing and froze.
Amongst the group was none other than Jordan. She looked tired. Like she hadn't slept all week.
Fuck, she probably blames herself for what happened.
I tried the door handle. Locked.
Blake snickered and I looked back at him, tears in my eyes.
"Why are we here? Why are you doing this to me?" I asked.
"Doing what, my rose?" He asked quietly, his hand gently brushing against my neck. I twisted away from him violently, feeling frustration and anger burn inside of me.
"Doing that! Touching me, and kissing me, when I don't want your affection. Forcing me to please you, forcing me to- to-" I broke off, unable to find words.
"To love me, my rose?" He mused, filling in my blanks. I swallowed and looked up at him anxiously.
"Why?" I asked, my voice breaking. "Why are you doing this?"
"Because, my rose," He said, "I enjoy playing with you. It's fun to mess with your head, and watch as you become more like my perfect rose, petal by petal."
I looked away, letting tears fall down my face. "But I'm not. I'm not some kind of toy. I'm not your perfect rose."
"Not yet," He said, wiping at my cheeks, his touch cold yet gentle, "But you will be."
"But what if I'm not?" I muttered quietly. "What if I'll never be good enough for you?"
He dropped his hand and fell silent. After a long moment, I turned to him and he gave me a gentle smile, lifting his hand again to cup my face. In a voice that was barely more than a whisper, he spoke a sentence that made my heart go cold.
"Then I'll sell you."
