Ch1. Weird dream

When I went to sleep I was expecting to either a) have a random dream that makes no sense or b) have no dream. So when I closed my eyes and opened them to see nothing but darkness along with my body I thought I'd have a dream that made no sense. What I didn't expect was a holographic blue screen straight out of a video game congratulating me for being pick.

[Congratulations human of planet Earth, My name is Gaia and I have chosen you out of all 8 billions of people to gain the powers of the gamer!]
"...This dream is heading of to a great start ain't it?" I said, wait I haven't introduced myself. Names Alfred Rein Winston your average American, I'm 5'7 weight about 140lb with the my body being skinny with hints of fat on my tummy. I have a lot of different ancestry ranging from Japanese to French. Altogether I grew up surrounded with different cultures, but I digress let's get back to the screen.

'Nice, I've got the main two important skills every gamer needs. Now all I need to do is make the dungeon and kill some zombies and I'm done'  I mentally say as I bring my arm up with the palm face upward and mentally command my mana out and flashing it out
"ID Create" *ping*I yelled as the once darkness that was the void ended up being replaced with a decrypted neighborhood. Wobbling  a bit due to emptying my mana, I wait for an hour for some of it to come back. Looking at my notifications revealed that I gained the skill with a blank and zombie ID.

Now then taking a looking around me I straight up notice a box. Well seems like my luck kicked in cause I'm pretty sure that's the hidden chest behind the pillar of the house to my left. Now onto skill numero two, observe. So there I stand staring at the chest, look at its design, what it's made up for 30 seconds and I get my skill.*ping*

....OK, well might as well, walking up to it I crouch down and flipped the lid up and took a look in only to see a blue glowing orb that soon transformed. First came the handle with the pummel a diamond shape with a sapphire in the middle, the cross guard was 5cm thick with some runes glowing a bit. The blade itself a clean white blade that had a faint glow to it. Mentally using observe told me it's name and history.
[Apprentice Paladin's bastard sword]
[A blade forged by steel bathe in holy water and smelted in a blazing volcano, this sword had runes inscribed onto the cross guard to help combat being affiliated with darkness. The owner seemed to have fallen before he can become a full fledged paladin.

Huh, neat.....I bet the boss is gonna be the fall paladin apprentice. Though looking at my stats I see that my mana is back to full so grabbing the sword and standing up and walking to the middle of the street, I focus my mana onto my hand and mold it into different shapes, or I try to which gained me another skill.*ping*

Now then aiming my arm forward and summoning mana once more I will the it to become thin and form an arrow*ping*ignoring that, I start to hear moans and groans and dragging sounds coming down the street. I'm surprise it took that long for some of them to come to me, it's been what 4 hours. Looking at them I see about 10-12 shambling towards me. Aiming my little magic arrow towards the head of the horde I let it loose hiting the head.

Effectively killing it, seeing the rest closing in and not having time to make more mana arrows, so I griped the sword in both my hands only to note that it was surprisingly light. I guess they but runes to make it weight less then it looks. As they slowly come closer I used an observe on them.

Good to know I look delicious, waiting for it to come closer as it comes to about 4ft away from me I step in and slash left diagonally up from the right hip up to the left shoulder.*ping*

That's another down, and it seems I got the sword skill since using the sword feel right in my arms. Looking at the next to come close I go straight to beheading taking another down. The next 20 or so minutes was me just killing them that I gain stats and a level.

The art of using a sword is old as mankind first learned how to save war. The path to becoming a master swordsman is long and difficult, but don't give up cause the pinnacle is something special.

Phew~ that was nice exercise,  I was able to grind some exp for my skills and create the spinning mana arrows as well as the mana ball and it's spinning variant.

Well now, let prepare shall we. First let summon both mana arrow and it's spinning variant, and prepare my sword from the hidden chest and wait. I don't seem to wait long since the sound of hooves draws me to look to my right and spotting the boss. It seems that the boss is a horse rider, hmm well let bit an observe.

A cavalier that was on the road towards becoming a paladin before falling in battle, causing revert to linger which allowed the darkness to corrupt the once righteous paladin apprentice]
I knew he would be the boss, but a closer look at him sort of reminds me of the cavaliers from the fire emblem series. Enough look at him, dodging to the left out of his way I shoot the regular arrows aiming for the horse in order to topple him off his ride. Which works by taking out the back legs causing it to crash forward onto the ground and damaging the boss. Firing the two spinning arrows aiming for the head, only for them to strike his left shoulder and his right thigh.

Before he can bring up his spear, a iron one at that, I close the distance enough to slash and slice of his right arm.

I continue to slash not giving him time twice across the chest before jumping back has he tried to punch me.

Hitting a quick observe showed me that he had 620 health left, once more I summon some spinning arrows and launch them aiming for his other arm and running after them as they nail his wrist and and elbow on his remaining arm before slashing at his neck cutting it off.

Huh, an extra level how nice shame this all a dream though or else it would of been nice if this actually happen to me. Welp gotta head back to sleep, gotta throw out the trash tomorrow.

yaawwnn~ ahhh that was a nice dream to have but time to freshen up and go take out the trash. It wasn't till I got to the bathroom that I saw the screen.
