(ok I'm super biased cause I just love Tanjiro to much... but it made me super happy seeing that lots of people enjoyed this book despite only having one so I really appreciate all the support I got! I would like to say that requests are open! However I'm not super familiar with the manga as I am an anime only watcher so I apologize for that.)
You and your amazing boyfriend Tanjiro had a very rare rest period. In which you both decided to go to your home town. The capital. The two of you had come from completely different places. You were from the city and he was from a very country side household. It was one of your favorite things to see as he was amazed from the simply normal things you grew up with and was tired out by the end of the day went you both went out at night. The perks of him being tired was that he would be very sleepy and sleepy Tanjiro is a very cute thing. There's something about seeing your boyfriend nodding there head trying to not fall asleep and then right when they're about to fall asleep they jolt awake. Anyways you two were at your parents house and your parents decided to have you reunited with your supposedly boyfriend. It wasn't like he was rude or anything you just felt more friend vibes then boyfriend and love of your life vibes. So you can probably guess that when your parents suggested that your "boyfriend" and you were going to go out and spend the night together he was not pleased. There was something about your parents that they really REALLY wanted the man they picked out for you to be their son in law instead of the one that you had picked out for yourself. Which lead to you and your parents kind of arguing but not really since Tanjiro was their and your parents don't like looking like they are rude in front of people. Yes your parents thought that their image was the most important thing. Anyways here you are hanging out with the man your parents had forced you to and you could feel them wanting you to marry this boy so badly. Yet everything in your whole body was screaming to get out of this awkward and boring situation. You both came home after about two hours of being out. Which you can probably guess felt like an eternity. Tanjiro was literally waiting at the door like a dog would for their master. When you came home and saw him you were extremely shocked yet touched.
"(Y/n)!" He states the happiest you've ever seen. He hugs you and you swore you were about to bleed from your heart when you saw how glad and happy he was to see you.
"How long have you been waiting?" You ask worriedly. You knew that this boy is extremely loyal and will definitely wait an entire week just for the moment where you can smile at him.
"I've been here since you left." He answers.
You knew it. Your boyfriend can be described as the nicest person in the universe and will do anything for you including waiting for two whole hours in the same place. So you decided to go into your childhood room. Your parents didn't have a lot of rooms so Tanjiro had to sleep in the same room as you. They made sure however to make sure that your futons were as far apart as they could be, but you just moved your futons together. You both laid in bed and just started talking.
"So how was it?" He asks slightly worried about the answer.
You realized with Tanjiro in the position where he was already extremely jealous of this man, you could tease him and see his adorable reactions.
" It was pretty fun actually" lies
"R-really??!"
"Yeah."
"W-well I can be have tomorrow be fun too!"
"Oh? Are you jealous?"
"M-maybe..."
"Because it was a lie he was incredibly boring."
"Really?"
"Yeah."
Tanjiro was extremely angry and grabbed your waist to pull you in closer. Partly cause he realized that you were getting a bit cold and partly cause he was still a bit jealous of the guy you hung out with. Just because he still got to spend a lot of time with you.
"Jeez you're really mean (Y/n)... I want to spend more time than he did with you tomorrow ok?" He said with a pout.
Your heart exploded with the way his jealous face looked. Especially since you could see it clearly as you were close up from the position he pulled you into.
"Sorry your pouts are just to cute." You said as you kissed the tip of his nose reassuring him that you loved him and only him.
