                                              Today in history class I was turned around facing the back, while getting out my paper on the difference between Athenian women and Spartan women, and my teacher asked
"Who knows anything about Japanese culture?" And I turned around so fast my pony tail hit me in the face. And then gave a five minute explanation of Japan's solitude and closing its ports from outsiders and I don't think a history teacher has ever given me such a look of admiration , or so many children fixed me with looks of hatred. 
Ah, being the history nerd is fun.
