Chapter 1

You stand in your hotel room gazing out the window of the top floor. Aka the pent house of the hotel, these rooms are made mostly for those who can afford it. You walk back to your bed and start getting dressed. You're white shirt is half way buttoned when you're door is opened, you spin around to see the intruder when it's none other then Lestat he gazes at you, you forget your shirt is half way unbuttoned revealing your black laced bra. You look down flustered and button up the rest of your shirt. "What do you want Lestat? I'm busy. If you've come here just to stare I'd advise you not to. I'm not in the mood" he walks in and sits on the chair nearest to you "Marius is back" you stop and freeze up for a minute. Then in a matter of seconds you have Lestat pinned against the wall by his throat "You think you're funny Lestat?! I've called out to Marius for years and he's never" you're interrupted by a hand in your shoulder "Now now Katerina I've heard all of your calls, all of your cries. But you must remember it was you who left me"

You let Lestat go and turn to face your creator "Marius..." you jump to hug him, he embraces you tightly "you still have those piercing Grey eyes. The ones that can pierce through any vampires and mans soul" he looks at you admiringly. Out of the corner of your eye you can see Lestat glaring Marius with envy? "One of my favorite features of you. You have always had the gift to spell people with those eyes" he grazes his knuckles along your jaw. "Marius.. what took you so long to come... I've called for you... I've cried out to you for-" "years, I know my beautiful child" you hear Lestat scoff "my child, really Marius? Just admit you're in love with her and move on" Marius sighs "why don't you Lestat? Or are you still hung over Akasha?" Your jaw clenches at her name. The one who stole yours and Lestat's innocence "can you two take your meeting elsewhere. I'd like to finish getting changed" you glare at them both

Lestat smirks knowing damn well he made his manager angry "as you wish. Boss" your eyes flash to him angrily. You storm into your bathroom locking to door behind you sliding down onto the floor. You dig through your bag and pull out a pack of cigarettes. Disregarding the "No Smoking" sign you open a window and light it. Taking long smooth puffs as the taste fills your mouth, you hear a knock at the door "what?" You're harsh tone had the person hesitate before answering "Katherine, Lestat wants you" you sigh opening up the door to see the only other female in the band. She looks at you in fear, you roll your eyes and proceed to walk to Lestats room, cigarette in hand. You open his door and find him on the couch "if you were human. I'd tell you that those would kill you" you roll your eyes and sit on the couch across from him.

"Not like it matters to you" you stand up and walk over to the balcony to throw the cigarette butt out. Lighting another one in the process "I thought you quit" you feel a hand on your back as Lestat rests his face in your hair "I tried, then you changed" you feel his eyes open and the smirk on his face appear "how have I changed?" Taking a long drag from your cigarette "you're more power hungry, more lustful for someone else" his arms try to snake around your waist but you walk away from him. Going to the bar "why must you be so cold Katerina?" Ignoring his question "why must you use your fans to feed?" You angrily stand up from the bar stool and storm out of his room.
