AUTUMN'S P.O.V  AFTER SCHOOL

I sigh as the final bell rings. I stuff my deodorant, gym shorts, gym shirt, and tennis shoes into my extra bag.

I smooth my annoying skirt out and braid my hair down the side of my neck.

I follow the other students to the front doors and manage to shoves myself out into the windy weather. I shiver, but continue my walk home.

Half way there, I think of my situation: my rent.

How am I supposed to pay off seven-hundred dollars? And when is it due? I already have other things to worry about. Can I work at the apartments?

I look up and see all the teenagers waiting to go in Starbucks. I roll my eyes and cross the street, making sure no cars are coming.

I continue walking on the right side of the street until I remember something that could help.

My head snaps up from the ground and I pick up my pace to the pizzeria. I excuse myself when I bump into people and a few times I've had to apologize.

I make it to the doors of Circus Baby's World. I take a deep breath and push the door opened. I step inside and see three animatronics; some I know as Funtime Foxy, Funtime Freddy and his puppet, Bon-Bon, and the main attraction, Circus Baby.

I grin to myself. They've ways been my favorite things in the world. They sing and dance and entertain.

"You guys are perfect," I say to them. I know they can't hear me, and I know they're only animatronics, but still. They're worth so much.

"Excuse me, ma'am."

I jump slightly at the sudden sound. I jerk around to find a brown haired man probably in his late forties. He has a sunken looking face and bags under his dark, brown eyes. His bony arms cross over his chest and he's wearing a tux, black.

"Oh, h-hello, s-sir," I stammer.

"What are you doing here? We don't open today. We're opened tomorrow."

I shift my weight from foot-to-foot. I look the man in the eyes.

I really need this, I think.

"Sir, I know your not opened, but please. I saw your hiring sign in the window. I really need this job. I'll work from twleve to six if that's what it truly takes."

The man frowns. "Another prankster. I'll hire you and you'll call right at twelve saying you quit," he spits. "Happens all the time with kids your age."

I take a step forward. "No, sir. Not me. I truly need this job. I can prove it to you if you give me a chance. Please."

The man sighs. "This way."

He starts walking towards a wooden door near the front. I follow quickly as to not be left behind. He opens the door and motions for me to sit in the wooden chair across from an office chair.

I sit and he sits in the opposite chair. He sighs and places a pair of glasses on his nose and turns his computer to a different screen.

"Okay, I'm Mr. Fazbear, and I'm going to ask you a series of questions. And you'll answer each one. Got it?"

I nod. "Okay."

"Your first, middle, and last name."

"Autumn Lyn Chase."

"Birthday and age?"

"August 31, 2003. I'm sixteen years old."

"Your living arrangements?"

"I live alone in an apartment building, but the building is built as more of a hotel-like building. My apartment has multiple rooms, and I live on the fourth floor."

Mr. Fazbear nods, typing away at his screen. "Good, good. Have you ever worked anywhere before?"

I nod, thinking. "I've worked as a babysitter. But that only lasted for four weeks. I've also worked for Pizza Hut in Oklahoma before I moved here two years ago."

Mr. Fazbear nods again and pushes his glasses up his nose. "Alrighty," he breathes. "I don't see any reason as to why you can't work here. Your record is clear, it seems and you go to an acceptable high school. How about you start tonight, if possible?"

My eyes widen. "Really!?" I ask, jumping up. He just grins.

"Yes, really. It appears that you need the money for your rent." I blush in embarrassment. "But, I do need you to sign some papers."

I vigorously nod my head up and down, over and over again. "Yes! Of course!"

He frowns, but slides me a small stack of papers stapled together. Mr. Fazbear points to certain spots and tells me to sign there. I do so each time.

"Okay, that's all. Oh, and put your number down here just in case I need to contact you."

"Uh, hu."

I scribble the ten digits down and slide the paper back to Mr. Fazbear. He looks over it all and nods, signing here and there.

"Alright, Miss Chase, I believe you can start. . . tonight."

I grin, my smile stretching from one ear to another. I can't believe I got the job! Yes!

"You will work the night shift; it's from twleve to six. Don't worry, I'm great friends with your principal, Mrs. Alby. I'll talk to her about you getting an online education. You get paid fifty a night. By the end of the week you should have-"

"I should have two-hundred-fifty! Ohmygosh! Yes! Thank you so much, sir. I can't wait," I exclaim. "I'll come back around 11:30 tonight so you can show me around. Oh, I forgot to mention, I'm studying mechanics. So I can touch the animatronics up if need be."

I continue ranting even as I walk into my apartment door.

". . . And I'll need to make sure my tools are ready, and my phone is charged. I can't be late. I'll bring a cup of coffee with me just in case."

I plug my phone in and quickly take a shower and get dressed into the navy blue uniform Mr. Fazbear gave me when I was leaving. I brush my hair and put it in a side pony tail. I heat up some left over spaghetti from last night and eat it swiftly.

I plop myself on my couch and turn the T.V. on to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. I lay down and yawn.

Before the movie even begins, my eyes droop shut and I'm snoring.
