I am writing about my experience of undergoing treatment for egg formation. They called it OVI(Ovulation Induction).

I always had irregular periods, diagnosed with PCOS at a very young age. So when I got married I was really apprehensive about pregnancy and all. We tried for 1 year or so but without any result. I knew my problem so started looking for a good and young doctor. Sorry, I am really scared of an old rude gynaecologist who questions you like you are a criminal. Then zeroed down upon Dr. Vaishali Sharma (www.drvaishalisharma.com). She has got her postgraduation degree from prestigious AIIMS. Looking at her fabulous academic record and flattering patient's reviews, I fixed up an appointment with her. Let me tell you, it's really a difficult task to get her appointment slot. But I waited patiently and finally met her. Within 5 minutes of our consultation I got to understand, why is she in so much demand. She talked to me so patiently, looking at each and every aspect of my complaint that I felt extremely satisfied. She discussed everything in detail, right from my diet, daily routine, morning walks, chemistry with my hubby and so on. She not just advised me some tests or prescribed me some medicines, but chalked out a whole treatment plan for the next 6 months. She also assured me that I will definitely conceive within the next six months. She described a stepwise protocol that we will follow to achieve our goal. 

Then we started with some tablets for egg formation but my ovaries were too resistant and didn't make any eggs. Then I was put on some injections. Those also didn't help. Time was passing by month by month but no egg formation. She kept on changing my medicines every month. But the confidence in her voice made me believe that it may take some time but we will definitely achieve our goal. Then I was advised to take a double dose of injections. Luckily, my ovaries made eggs. We followed her advice but couldn't achieve pregnancy in that month. Continued the same treatment next month also and tada got positive pregnancy results next month. I felt so relieved and thanked her wholeheartedly for making me believe in myself. It was her confidence only which kept me going. And I am so happy that I trusted her words. Our dream came true.

I want all of you out there struggling to get pregnant to believe in yourself and trust your doctor. It's actually a time taking procedure. The more eager you are, the more delay will be there. Find out a trustworthy gynaecologist and just follow her advice blindfolded. Because the more you think, more difficult it becomes to get pregnant.
