CHAPTER 11: DO YOU LIKE MY BROTHER?

 🚣🚣🚣

Due to my situation of not having a car, Hunter offers to bring me home every after our lesson night.

At first, I object but he won’t have it as he scared me of being abducted in the middle of the street and be murdered helplessly.

He was being ridiculous but he had a point so I agreed like I didn’t have any other choice but deep inside I was grinning in victory.

It was two weeks ago, and I am not surprised when dad interrogate me with questions about a guy who’s bringing me home at night.

I repeatedly told him that we were studying for Calculus but he was convinced that I was out in a date with Hunter or something.

As he quotes, “Kids these days refer studying as a different activity mostly alone in a house.”

Needless to say, I muffled all the noise that came from my dad after he said that.

After what seems like forever of convincing him that Hunter will not do anything to me and he was pretty nice for a bad boy that he was known for. Of course I didn’t tell him that.

He eventually gave up and would leave me alone as long as he get to give me the ‘talk’ which happened last week that I consider the most excruciatingly time of my life.

With a bit of luck, I endure the five minute talk and hurriedly lock myself in a room with my headphones pressed on my ears the entire night to hopefully erase some memories.

Which brings me back to present where I was currently inside Hunter’s house while I listen intently on his lecture about figures.

This time, Georgia was around and quietly watching some rerun in the living room. She was still baffled by the idea of my presence whenever I knock at their door every night and she has this knowing look every time she look at me and Hunter and whatever it is she chooses to just keep it herself and just pretend that we aren’t here.

As the lesson was over, Hunter told me to wait in the living room as he cooks in the kitchen for dinner which I was always looking forward every weekend night.

I sat beside Georgia and she gave me a warm smile before returning her eyes back at the show.

“How’s the lesson?” She asked emphasizing the word lesson. I ignored the message behind and answer.

“It was rewarding. For the past weeks I was pretty improving and that’s good, really good for me.”

“That was nice to hear knowing now that my brother really was helping you be better. I thought he was just using this as an excuse to be alone with you.”

“What?”

“Oh like you didn’t know it.”

“What was there to know? He was just really helping me because I suck at Calculus.”

“Could’ve fooled me.”

“We are just friends though.”

“That’s what a guy and a girl said when they like each other.”

“Uh I’m pretty sure Hunter doesn’t like me. In fact he never likes anyone.”

“I know that shitface since forever and trust me when I know he’s into something or not.”

“It really doesn’t really look like it so no.”

“If you say so. Anyway, do you have a boyfriend?”
