Chapter 2

I walk into the kitchen and open the fridge door, nothing. Mustard,gherkins and ice. I flip open my cell phone and settle on ordering pizza.
After a while the door bell rings, yes, finally the pizza. When I open the door I'm sure my face looks nearly as surprised as the one staring back at me. "Jamie, right?" I ask, trying to be nice. Its the strange boy that I bumped into yesterday.
Yeah, I remember you from yesterday".
There's an awkward silence before he says "its just $18.50, as he holds up the pizza box.
"Right, sorry", I hand him the money and grab the pizza.
"Well, bye Jamie, see ya around school" I say hopelessly.
"yeah bye" he says quietly as he stares at me and waves goodbye.

Later that night I'm sitting on the couch.
I'm staring at a pop plant , when it suddenly shatters. "AHHHH!", I gasp, shocked.
What just happened, maybe there was an earthquake. There doesn't seem to be any rumbling or shaking though. I was staring right at it. But how would that shatter it?
I decide on putting my theory to the test. I take a small wooden box and place it on the floor. I sit in front of it and stare at it, putting all my concentration into looking right at it.
Then about ten seconds later, it starts floating mid air. It crashes to a halt and falls down, smashing on the floor.
What ! How did I do that.
I call Lara and tell her to come over immediately, and that I have to show her something crazy.
She bangs loudly on the door.
I run to it and pull it open, "Lara, seriously,something is wrong with me" I scream.

I grab her by the shoulders and tell her to shut up and watch. I scan the room and my eyes land on her.
"Okay don't freak out even though I'm freaking out" I say glancing at her.
I look at her shoes before closing my eyes. When I open them her shoe is gone. This was REALLY weird.
"Oh my god, what the hell!" She yells.

Was just staring at it, and ...it was gone or It shattered and was floating in the air"

Calm down. Its not that big of a deal..."
"CALM DOWN WHAT THE FUCK...! What if I'm staring at someone and they just disappear".
"Maybe it doesn't work like that...? " she says quietly as she slumps down further and further into her seat.
Just as I slump down next to her, Miles my older brother comes downstairs.
Miles basically frowns at me, He smiles and winks at Lara.
I roll my eyes, it was no secret to me that they has a thing for each other.
"What were you two screaming about just before anyways?" Miles asks as he chews on his sandwich with his mouth open.
"Well, you see something really weird is happ- Before I get to finish my full sentence,Lara cuts me off,as usual ...
"No reason! Right" Lara says to me as she grins at Miles.
"Right..." Miles treads out of the room.
I glance at Lara and smile, "I was about to tell him".
"You can't yet, the less people now the better ... for now".
